the magicyte you wil use later to craft magical gear and potions and stuff. Also, cooking station can be build from any blocks you have enough of, default if just granite. The stone cutting spot you have will make blocks, not chunks. you just cant specify what blocks to use unless you limit which chunks it will use for material. Another little tip for medieval overhaul is to use timber for fuel if you get little wood because each "wood" becomes like 5 "timber" if i remember correctly. youre forest is thick though so you may want to use wood and NOT timber for fuel just to save on crafting time at the log sawing thing. you make the tanning liquor at the cooking stations out of wood/timber. i set my tanning liquor to keep 20 and its usually fine so you dont have a crap ton just sitting around

I love the magic Mod! If I recall correctly you have to have Magically gifted or the physically adept trait on a pawn to be able to learn any of the might or magic skills. You can purchase the books/scrolls for the different classes or craft them.

My recommendation it to set a lot of autocasts for your special chars thats how they will level up quickly. If you can get a summoner early it will be very very helpful because you can get minions that last for a day or more which will haul and clean for you. In combat you should be extremely cautious, strong pawns can one shot you with their powers and some powers are really strong. Mana potions are addicting but you can grow and then refine them and once you have a stable supply though that you can start to use them. But before that I recommend their use only in emergencies. Magic equipment can be quite good so when you loot raids you may want to look carefully at what they drop, some magic stuff does not taint when dropped and can be a boon if you assign it to the right pawn. Preserving meat and veggies is very hard for you unless you get a frost mage, salting and smoking will help you extend shelf life. I highly recommend a good solid base designed for defense as you will need it. You have set the magic and physical spawn percentage to 2 which will help you out early game but mid game with the raid numbers as they are you are very likely to see many enemy mages and physical pawns. Save a lot, this mod is very buggy! Really looking forward to this series.

@@hardwaredespair Oh an another early game key thing is to be on top of drying your hides to get leathers. To cure hides need to tan liquid. That can be made from wood in your cooking station.

If you click the auto-sort button in the mod window and there are no errors then the load order should be okay. Check the mod option for Rimworld of Magic maybe the classes got switched off somehow.

The mods for this series are for the old 1.4 version. If you are playing 1.5 then some will be incompatable.
