Even after knowing the whole truth I can't believe this girl still talks fondly and starry eyed about this non existent relationship. Sad.

I don’t think you understand that she was targeted. The relationship aspect of it doesn’t matter. She said herself that the romantic aspect only began at the end. She was targeted by psycho simran who elaborated this from the beginning. Use your brain.

What doesnt add up is if they all knew each other within Kenyan Sikh community, how much ppl didnt talk about dire situations like getting shot, being in witness protection, brother dying... like all of these never came about in such a long period of time?? Something about story feels like there is more to this story than being told

that's what i also was wondering. a) how simran had time for all this while working? b) how the hell noone talked about it in the community? they allegedly knew bobby's family right?
@brookiegremlin66602 ай бұрын
@@the-girly-talks I don't believe that Simran was this high-powered professional executive and also texted Kirat 50+ times daily. Absurd. Kirat is exagerating the lengths Simran went to, in order to make herself seem less gullible. The real truth is probably closer to a few texts per week, and would make Kirat look even more foolish.
@tanyatango41972 ай бұрын
Yes exactly! Probably Kirat was in a phase of desperation after breaking up with a long term boyfriend at 32 and was ready to lap up anything. Also zhe comes across as someone with poor judgement the way she explains her years preceeding this. She is probably exagerating few bits to make it look like she wasnt stupid

I’m so confused by this podcast I feel like I’m being brainwashed lol. Some of this is completely different to what I just watched on Netflix. I swear Sanju was the one on Facebook who announced Bobby “been shot” instead of a friend of bobbys. And since in what part of the Netflix did he die or lose his memory? I recall hearing of a stroke and voice loss but not memory loss. And there was no mention of JJ’s death in the documentary. Am I missing something here?
@gururandhawa19362 ай бұрын

Kirat has missed billions of red flags. A lot of questions left not answered. How come within 10 years she couldn’t see the real page on Facebook of Bobby. In my opinion she is not opening the real truth. Both Kirat and her cousin are not ok, maybe it’s something in the family. 10 years talking on Skype without a video, seriously?)) No pictures sent except the one picture from the hospital? No voice messages???She was avoiding the truth herself. She didn’t want to wake up. But the main problem is the family pressure of course. Until now all what she wants just to get married 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ The problem is inside the family. All her life she is trying to prove them something. They brake her from inside. She is traumatized. Her real wish, actually obsession, not Bobby, but to make her society happy. Such problem is always exists in the culture where the women are pressed and devalued.

I totally agree. Something about this handsome cardiologist who wanted to marry her was especially important in light of her culture, plus I think she had some mental vulnerabilities.
@footballminds37062 ай бұрын
she was in her late 30s and desperate to marry. and the story was that bobby was unwell and in witness protection. also 10 years...3 years they just talked on and off as friends. so i guess it's around 6 years of this. it's 9 years not 10 years, not that it makes much of a diff.

"how did she ignore all the red flaaags" bruh, her cousin (whom she considered a sister at the time, and trusted 100%) connected her to "bobby" and claimed to be very close to him.... If your family member was constantly advocating for and validating the existence of this person... would you be quicker to assume your family member is a manipulative psychopath? Or that hes real and is just going through some crazy shit. The cousin even went so far as to deliver one of "bobby's t-shirts" claiming to have gotten it from NY - sprayed it with aftershave n shit. NEVER would she have been like "hmmm... suspicious...my cousin is definitely involved in an incredibly elaborate catfishing scheme, involving 60 (fake) people" Very intelligent people are gaslit and manipulated all the time... these manipulators are able to find your vulnerabilities and use them against you. if you are a kind, compassionate person you are an easier target for sure. ppl are crazy

She addressed this in a recent interview and intentionally talks about it like they were real and you need to remember that in this podcast, for people who don't know the story, she has to talk about it like the fake characters are real so that it is more shocking to find out who the catfisher is.
