I'm 3 minutes into this podcast and can tell it will be an amazing series. But.. Don't forget the true man that revolutionized energy, Nikola Tesla. He is the backbone of our energy we use today. He proved Alternating Current to be more efficient and safer, than Direct Current. It was a huge battle and I covered the story on my 2nd podcast episode to give everybody a foundation of information regarding electricity and modern technology. Edison also did not invent the lightbulb. He wasn't an inventory, he ripped ideas from people and tweaked it a little. Since you are the DoE, can you push to have him discussed in depth within the education system? I graduated in 2013 and my whole life, I never knew who he was until 2014. It's a shame that we pick and choose who we want to talk about and give credit to... But other than that, I look forward to the show. Thanks!

I'm super excited to learn more about the energy industry! I've learned a lot about how all of the different technologies work, but I want to know what the state of the country and world is on energy usage/generation.

I love the podcast that includes the history of solar. Our firm used to raise funds for thermal solar systems back in the early 80's. Today I'm an experience renewable energy broker.

It should be on the roof top of a main floor porch or a short storage shed or the dog house so the heat collected can RISE into areas of the home where you spend most of your sitting time🙂huh?

For your solar " cell " you used a filter but you should use a material were you do not have to use a filter !

You guys are awesome! It would be cool if we could learn about battery technology... particularly the environmental impacts/recyclability of lithium ions battery especially now that Elon Musk's gigafactory is up and coming

Actual subject matter starts at around 8:00. Good information but too much bullshit before you get to the point.

Exactly that is unnecessary I can see why not many have hit on it and this is also great insight for high school students
