Wonderful memories for my Mum and Dad and brother and sister. I was born in 1947 but still lived in the shadow of the War with rationing and my ID book. A different time and place. Everything was saved and used, nothing wasted. Bones, paper, glass, cardboard etc etc. I still have this mindset today. My daughter threw about 3lbs of potatoes away because they had sprouted 😒. They could easily have been peeled and mashed for freezing. This time, I picked out the sprouted spuds in her veg basket and planted them! Growing well at the moment. 👍👍👍

My Daddy used to tell us about those war days when he was a teenager and life was really hard.He lived a simple life.Never wasted anything.😊

Hard times. Luckily Polish airmen came to help fighting for the British skies. While in Poland murder of civilians, material destruction went on from the Germans and the Russians, death penalty for hiding the milling stones.
