Good job. I like that you walk the line between just a kayaking video and a beginner's tutorial. I look forward to the next one.

Well done! Definitely helpful for expanding interest in surf paddling. The northeast has been losing waveskiers/surf kayakers as folks age out. Need to bring in newer folks to the sport!

Brilliant 👏 thanks for posting. I'm knew to this type of boat. I ditched the hip harness and replaced it with 2 knee straps. Much better control.

Excellent! Good to hear. I'll be doing a Waveski video as my next one. We'll talk about that for sure.

Like to see cobra strike in action. Never seen one . I use mine and love the fun. I have and still surf for 60 years. Kayaking waves is so different. 2 ft. Wave looks 4ft.

yes! I'm putting together a video RIGHT NOW! But only have a few GoPro Clips. It's way too cold here now and nobody wants to film on the beach LOL. Come spring I'll definitely get some footage of the Strike. I enjoy the Cobra Strike too.

I noticed that your feet and footstraps are very wide apart. You will get better performance if you get your feet as close together as possible. The same applies to the seating position; the higher you can sit, the better performance you can extract; the more leverage you apply. Though, of course, to use a horse riding analogy, a beginner cannot start out riding a racehorse. Consequently, a beginner and even an intermediate will feel less stable with feet together and a higher seat position. Stability, however, opposes manouverability. And which is why beginners start out on something which is stable and progress to something as unstable as possible. Cheers

Great points and you summed it up why I'm not sitting on a seat riser yet. All things I'll talk about in my next video. Also, 26 inches wide is my comfortable tippy point, which is too wide for the pros but more stable for me. I'm not ready to go narrower, sit higher or even use a shorter ski yet. I haven't taken it out in 3 months as I've been using the Surf Kayak. Shame on me LOL! Thanks for this. I'm going to reference this. I've got to get started on the next video which should have probably been #2-Choosing a Waveski and Surf Kayak. Cheers!

@@richie_waverider I'm glad that you got some inspiration for your next video. I have a bit of an interest in waveskis as I designed and manufactured waveskis in Australia in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Cheers

Thanks Ken. Trying to get as much time in the water as possible. I am trying to map out each year with a surf vacation so yes maybe South Africa for sure!

It looks like TJ from Florida, USA is going to Worlds Competition at Nahoon Reef this year. He's a very passionate fellow surfer here on the east coast, USA.
