Episode 109: Fraser Flat Campground, CNR Fishing the South Fork of the Stanislaus River

First time fishing here and was not disappointed. This may be a new destination on my way into the Eastern Sierras along 395. Keylime Outkaster spoon was what these fish wanted today.

I got skunked at Bridgeport Reservoir, Little Virginia, Crystal Lake, Owens River on this current trip but still enjoyed the peace of what nature offers.

Been watching your channel for a few days you are doing good and I agree stream fishing is best for the quiet time most of the time I need to get my license and get out there soon just been playing games in between the rain but I know there are fishing poles in the garage calling my name Stay safe and keep having a good time fishing

Went there Sunday for the first time in maybe 30+ years (as a youngster). It was beautiful and like you, may be my new spot, for the summer. Used a water bobber and fly successfully and then #4 Panther Martin. Was a blast and peaceful, for the most part.

Glad you enjoyed and felt echoes from years gone by. It is beautiful area and smaller campground. I like pinecrest but that place is like a town in of itself. Just wish they had pinecrest restrooms.

It looks like they get stocked regularly but one of the fishermen said they got stocked earlier that day. Better to be lucky…

Yes there's a day use area with 2 "fishing piers". $5, but only saw 3 designated parking spots for it.

@@GLS1517 there's some parking for the walkin campsites that you could more than likely park. there's also some parking along the road prior to crossing the river before turning into the campground.

They were definitely interfering with my good time. I ended up moving downstream for a bit to scout the rest of the river within the campground.
