In the UK, life is tough. The worst thing is realising at retirement age, you have worked for NOTHING. Little savings in the bank. Lucky if you own a house or apartment Your locality has got worse in terms of overcrowding, traffic jams, noise, pollution, parking problems, extortionate taxes, rip off rents, dirty streets , long, painful waits in emergency departments, unable to see a doctor but directed to a chemist or car mechanic etc. So while Indians are coming to work in the UK, UK educated people are emigrating to better run countries. Unfortunately, many Indians, realise that life is very hard in the UK and will get worse as the nation sinks into poverty

consulting here means business/management consulting (from finance to pharma to similar high level industries). it is nothing like travel consulting- they are completely two different careers

How to have a job where there is a balance. I mean a job where we get time to workout, to prepare Nutritious home-cooked meal and to relax and also get 8 hours of sleep everyday. I know it might seem that im asking for too much. Sir in uk you are committing for 37.5 max a week.. if your colleague is working 60/70 hours a week she is trying to disturb the dynamics of people around her as well. I do work as a consultant and one of the principal I put down is self discipline..

Hello friend - it all depends on your qualifications and experience and what type of work you're looking for. The job market is extremely hard in the UK right now but don't give up keep trying. Networking also helps, if you know the right people they can help you with the job search. Best of luck - also take note that the housing situation is terrible here. You will most likely have to share and rooms are around £800-£1000 in London right now.
