Hi Pene it’s so lovely catching up and hearing your reminiscing with Pete ❤ Your talk about Agatha Christie is really interesting she was certainly a very talented woman. I’m doing the finishing touches of my mice to enter into Helen’s mouse along…. loving the fabric you bought for your projects . Take care and I’ll see you next episode 😊

Thanks Tracey, I just decided instead of cleaning and sparkling the house in readiness for Francis' visit tomorrow I would sew the macaron, Just finished it. Then I knew some mice fabric in my stash was literally shouting at me and so I am doing a couple more things, just small but will finish tonight and then I will send the photos to Helen. Can't wait to see the parade to the lovely music she has composed. Looking forward to seeing yours. xx

Hello Pene, lovely video and just the inspiration I needed to get some crafting done. You said you get up early, but I think you must go to bed really late to fit in all the things you do. Love the new fabric you bought, its beautiful. Gosh, you churn out those socks ever so quickly. Looking forward to seeing your jumper taking shape, such interesting colours. Pete is looking fit and happy, and that makes you happy too. Tilley says hello, she hasn't got her friend yet, but she's very patient. Take care, enjoy the good weather, and happy crafting.

No, I don't go to bed late, just get up early or if not do a bit of crafting in bed! The shortie socks hardly take any time, I need to persuade Pete he needs shorties! Yes, life seems so much easier as he is getting stronger and we are able to walk in the lovely weather. I'm glad Tilley is patient, such a help! xx

Thanks for sharing your week with us. The bunny socks are just stunning. The color contrast really makes the pattern stand out. I look forward to that forest light jumper. I think the chosen wool is going to work so nicely in that colorwork. I absolutely love those mouse fabrics. So charming. I commented to Helen that I find it so funny we all love mice so much, as long as they are not scurrying about in the house! Although I think my cats would love that😉. Her make along has really stirred up the creativity in the community. I always love your music selections. So nice. I really enjoyed your talk about Agatha Christie. I've always enjoyed her stories. Knowing more about her life makes the stories all the more fascinating. My favorites are the ones set in the middle east. Have a great week. 🤗

You're right about the makealong, who would have thought. I enjoyed learning about Agatha and I'm enjoying her stories so much more. Pete can't wait for his finished pair of socks, but I'm getting stuck in to the Forest Light so he'll have to wait! Have a good week too. xx

Like you, I love these long daylight hours! One of the joys of being in Orkney recently was that it never really got dark - I’m not sure that I’d enjoy being in the far north in winter, though! I really love seeing what’s on your crafting table and of course it was extra-special to see the mouse-related projects! I thoroughly enjoyed your talk about Agatha Christie as well as hearing about Pete’s latest desert island disc. Thank you, Pene! x

You are a riot in your Roller Girl cap! It must be a new one as I don't remember the gray one. So adorable! Gosh, this was a terrific episode! The talk you did about Agatha Christie and see Greenway and the surrounding country...magical! I watch the Agatha Christie films - streaming them and I can just watch them over and over and over. I have to say all the actresses (I know they are all called actors now, but I need to be old-fashioned sometimes) who play Miss Marple are just wonderful but my favorite is Geraldine McEwan. She is just so perfect with her little hats and her knitting and her cardigans. And what would have happened if David Suchet had not been Poirot? I love Miss Lemon and wanted her to be in all the stories. Your daughter is so pretty and has exactly your smile. Lucky her! I found a fabric store a few hours from her that sells the mouse fabrics and others designed by Daniela Drescher and Sophia Drescher as well as all the Tilda fabrics. I love the Tilda called Hometown and then the piece called My Neighborhood. I am going to order a lot of fat quarters just to have. I have to say, I did not know that the thimble goes on the finger to push the needle. I don't quilt - not yet anyway. Had better get a move on if I want to. Pen, finding your channel and enjoying all your episodes has been such a gift to me and I know to many others as well. Stay well, all of you. Best, Kris

Another completely enjoyable episode. It's nearing 10:30 p.m. as I start a pair of shortie socks and listen to what is going on in your life. The tablecloth gets more beautiful every time I see it and I am excited to see your new sweater plan. When I finished the episode I had to go listen to Ray Charles sing "Ruby". My slightly older brother had the album and I recognized it after one line. The ending video was beautiful! Your camera is excellant.

So lovely you recognised Ruby and I'm quite loving shortie socks, so quick to make! I'm excited to start the jumper and always a mystery as to how they will turn out! I use my phone to film, just pull it out of my pocket and hope for the best. Who would have thought that a phone would take such lovely films, my camera is quite heavy and I hardly use it now, except to take the moon from time to time and its good for long distance. See you soon. xx

Hi penny, enjoyable one again, I knew the ray charles songs too, great music. Interesting things about Agatha Christie, just loved the socks you made, so clever, just looking at the woodlands where you and your family were walking, everything looks so green. I do remember how green the landscape was when I visited england, and that always stuck in my mind, so different here, although you can have green and lovely deciduous trees where we live, you also have to water a lot in summer. Our trees are without leaves at the moment being winter, just have some Daphne flowers out and some early Jonquils and lavender, can’t wait for the bulbs to bloom,we have planted quite a few this season coming. Always love your chats, good health and best wishes to you both, Pamela Hall
