With covid prices... HELL YEAH! The fixed NES and this Genesis already has made it worth it. The rest is just GRAVY!

Awesome episode, I guessed right on the PPU RAM, I was happy you had the same conclusion as you know, I'm a beginner in Retro Repair, but yea :) Then I had a good laugh at the ninja move, which I did not know you could do, and your comment about the ebay door lol!! Plus the video edit was great :D Keep it up! :D

I'm glad you got the subtle comments. LOL.Yeah, the NES is pretty tough, you can adjust the cartridge all kinds of ways. I'll go more in depth in the next episode for the "ninja magic." And I'll also show how to refurb the 72 pin connector without really doing much if any work! And it'll work consistently. BTW, I don't think you're a beginner. Looks like you been doing this for a couple years now.

@@The_SegaHolic Still a really nice save! Are you thinking about showing the boilling method for the 72pin? I screwed up my first attempt, one site said we needed to add salt or becarbonate lol ... I had better result bending the pin back, but already happened to me to break one.. Thanks, but I feel yea I know some of the problem and solution, but I'm not good enough to troubleshoot electronic stuff, like short on a circuit :)

@@Sayajiin2 LOL. No boiling, no making pins tighter, no toxic chemials, none of what you previously heard or read. SUPER SIMPLE STUFF. No scrubbing, or sanding, no physical alterations.

If only I could teach you my legendary "get nes toaster to play this game" jiggle maneuvers. Only those that lived through that era would grasp the skill level and finesse gained to play NES games in those days.
@The_SegaHolic3 жыл бұрын
I had my slipper that I would slap in there hold the game down, and it would work everytime! My ninja magic! LOL. Didn't you see my skill? I purposely put my "jiggle maneuvers in there for people to see how it's don. LOL.

You can switch VideoRAM and WorkRAM around to check if it makes any difference. Desolder and use sockets.

Wait, I think I read that wrong... gonna give it a shot. Thanks for the suggestion.

Dope vid as always. I kind of wish you went more detailed on the sanding. It’s a great result and a more in depth tutorial would be handy imo.

Thanks man. The next episode has already been shot and done, just needs cutting, and I use the same buffing technique for a great result too. I have to do a PS2 video I promised one of the viewers... to I'll see what's wrong witht the PS2 in the lot. But after that, I'm gonna finish off the dark metallic painted Dreamcast (the one with the custom decals). I actually bough the buffing sandpaper for that, as there are some glossy painted parts. Since you want a more thorough explanation, I'll show the procedure in greater detail then. Again, thanks for the comment.
