The Detroit River is to walleye fishermen, what Lake St. Clair is to smallmouth bass anglers. There simply is no better place to catch a mess of walleye than the Detroit River in April, or is there? For as good as the Detroit River is in April, a similar bite takes place in November that few anglers know about. Forget about dealing with crowded public access sites, in November you’ll find less boats, less stress and a whole lot of great fishing! Mark and Jake Romanack of Fishing 411 TV have shot many TV shows on the Detroit River over the years. All of those episodes were filmed in the spring, but this week on Fishing 411 TV Mark and Jake have broken with tradition and are headed to the “D” to see first hand what this amazing fishery has to offer in the fall of the year.
