For your making journal title page you could use your word peg board to write “making journal 2021” and take a pretty photo then print it with your canon ivy and stick over the writing. And I think you’re going to start the new stocking right away for your knit for 30 😊 love your podcast!

Or take a photo of some yarn and needles, hooks, and other crafty stuff and print it out to put over what you want converted and then write what you want above or below it.

I bet instead of working on WIPs you decide to knit what you want. 😁 I just got my needles and yarn to make my first pair of socks. So excited to give them a go! I love the stocking you are knitting - so cute! I live in a rural area but am a "people watcher" too. Although most of the time I'm watching the cows across the street! My husband and mom make fun of me too. 😂

Enjoyed you’re podcast , watching and listening meanwhile knitting and drinking a cup of tea. Here in the Netherlands we are in lockdown and can only receive 1 person per day. So your video’s are a welcome change . The tutorials you have made are very clear and have learned a lot from them. Greetings from the Netherlands

I stopped knitting and watching podcasts last spring due to a period of bad mental health. I decided to start watching your videos again in late December and watched all through from early lockdown to now. You've helped me feel inspired to knit again. Thanks to you I've started a knitting journal for 2021 and have dived back into knitting (including some scrappy dishcloths and a lot of socks!). I'm so thankful for your company over the past month. You've been the soundtrack to my mental health recovery and it's nice to have the company of listening to you chat when I have to be isolated from loved ones. Thank you, Kay!

I guess you are going to start Austin's Christmas stocking instead of going in with a WIP 😂 I don't blame you, that would be the thing I would do XD For the new journal title I would create a lovely crafty picture with the letter board you use to announce the podcast episode, make a picture and print it with the lovely little helper and just stick it over the written part.

I also love the idea of a photo sticker over the Knitting Journal title in your Maker’s Journal. A photo of your peg board with the Maker’s Journal title and a number of different craft items you’ve made surrounding it. I think you may add a 30 minutes a day Christmas knitting session every day. My husband is an alumni of The Ohio State University. We moved to Florida decades ago, but are now living in Georgia. Some people call us “Half-backs” (since we only moved halfway back home to Ohio.)

As always, thanks for spending some time with us. It always brightens my day.You inspired me to start my own journal. I called it my Craft Journal and in it, I plan to showcase my knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, yarn dying, spinning and whatever else I craft this year. I am going to also feature the new things I learn (this year, I'm focusing on steeking, brioche, and spinning) along with the charity knitting I am planning. One new charity for me this year is S.A.C.K. (Supporting a Community with Kindness) using some of my cotton stash to make soap sacks for homeless shelters, food pantries, veteran clinics, relief efforts and social service agencies.

Love your WIPs! A suggestion for your journal page....lay out a crochet hook, knitting needles, skein of yarn, your cross stitch and anything else that you craft and arrange them into one grouping. Take a photo, print it on that lovely Canon Ivy, and affix to your journal page over where you wrote. You could also just use scrapbook paper over the words, write “making Journal 2021” and affix photos of your making categories separately around the page. ......Congrats on 20K! 🎉

Hi Kay 🤗 Many years ago we had a dog who was always into the cats' food. Seeing your dining area... You have the same amount of space we did. We put in a side board cupboard, along the wall beside the table. In the cupboards underneath we stored the food for both the cats and dog. The top cupboard counter was just for the cat dishes. They had their water dishes, dry food and were fed their wet food up there too. Kept them out of our space, and the dog's. 🥰 Two of our cats now are "buriers". It is always so fun to watch. Give Calvin a scratch under the chin for me, be well.... And Thank you for the chat 💖 Enjoy your space 🤗

We just moved house and had no proper internet for a few weeks. It's been connected today so I can finally catch up on your last few episodes. I've been missing them. I loved the Little House on the Prairie books. I'm hoping my copies are in storage with my other things I'll be retrieving soon so I can reread them. I agree with you about giving new needles a good trial run before deciding if you like them or not. I learned to knit socks on 9 inch circulars with your vanilla sock tutorial. I’m now on my fourth pair and by the second pair I had adjusted to the little 9” needles and absolutely love using them. My first pair of socks are now being used as “yarn bras” because they are so funny looking. But my 2nd and 3rd pairs are constantly in the wash because I love wearing them.

Cast on Austin’s stocking because you are motivated to do it and make it your 30 minutes. Thanks for showing the photo printer. I’ve been looking at some for a knitting journal I started last year but didn’t know which one I should go with. I like the idea of not having to buy ink and just having to buy paper. Knitpicks always gets me with free shipping. It’s FREE and it doesn’t matter that shipping cost would probably be less then adding more yarn in my cart. LOL.

Hello Kay, I am a new sock knitter and your tutorials have set me on my way! I needed a diversion since we have been socially distancing here in St. Catharines Ontario. I am obsessed and am loving socks, so thank you for the inspiration.. Your podcasts are my Saturday morning coffee routine..... which now includes collagen...lol. Hoping to come out of lockdown looking 10 years younger😜

Congratulations on 20k! In your journal you could make the lettering on your podcast sign to say Maker Journal 2021, take a photo of it and print on your new little printer. You could put yarn, needles, crochet hooks & something for cross stitch around the sign for the pic.
