How sweet that Eric surprised you with the gift of the piano! We are both a music and sports family. ALthough the kids are adults now, they all played an instrument besides their sport of choice (hockey, track and cross country). Hectic but fun years, sure do miss that! How lovely that Eric got the piano. I'm loving working on my first Musselburgh and will definitely be making more. Thank you for mentioning the cedar discs on a previous podcast. We've moved house recently and I'm not sure what it will be like for moths so I've bought some cedar discs and now feel much happier that my yarn and handknits are safe.

Yes, bowling is a great sport to knit or crochet. I owned a bowling center for over 22 years and I always brought a project with me. Soon all the crafters were bring their projects with them also, it was a lot of fun. Yes I bowled in several leagues and got a lot of crocheting done, I wasn't knitting at the time only crocheting but wished I was knitting back then too. Love all of your socks. happy crafting

I love that Eric bought the piano! I started when I was 6 and was not "allowed" to quit when I thought I was too cool! I took lessons and classes all though college and have the baby grand my father gave my mother in their 25th anniversary. I still play to this day and I'm in my 60's 🎼🎵🎶🎹🎶🎵

I think it’s amazing that both boys have their unique interests that are supported by you and Eric so wholeheartedly. Re: music ~ My seventh grade grandson plays percussion. He loves it! My dad headed up an award winning Bluegrass band, I majored in piano and organ, and my oldest son is a DNA analyst in a genetics lab in Utah and is the leader of a very popular punk rock band. In our case, music is part of everyday life and such a stress reliever. Very excited that you all are getting a new piano. 🎶 And drum set!! 😊

Musselburgh hat is calling my name. After I finish the Hipster shawl I think I will look into the yarn at Breaking Yarn. I really like the look of that yarn, Your sweater you are wearing is so cute ! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on quitting piano lessons. I had my 11 year old daughter come over to hear your say you regret quitting because she goes through phases where she wants to quit. My son was in the Air Force and was deployed 3 times to the same area and kept coming back to Arizona so I had to do what I could to help. Love your podcast!

Not for drawing Thanks, as always, for brightening my Thursday morning. I have three pairs of socks, a cowl, a washcloth, and my scrappy blanket going, as well as my sampler block afghan. I used to be project monogamous, I swear! One of the pairs of socks needs to be finished this month. I just completed the first sock last night and will cast on the second today.

I’ve found that even if I don’t care for a certain color, I have family I knit for who would LOVE colors that aren’t in my wheelhouse. It makes for guilt free knitting no matter the colors! Love that pompom!
