I'm a 2024 ECE, MIT student. In my batch out of 180 intake, only 130 have joined the clg. The rest 50 did not join MIT after TNEA counselling. This has been happening every year. So it is not correct to calculate placement percentage with maximum intake.

Sir I appreciate your analysis. I am an ex CEG student got thru in campus in 1997. Placement was pretty ok in my batch partly die to y2k boom. I feel it is not fair to look at % placement in individually 'cos your presentation gives a feeling that the college bi not good. It depends on the job market. If you want to see the quality bof college you need to compare it with placement % across colleges in Tamil Nadu

For people watching this now, I can assure you that CEG CSE, IT placements are top notch with an avg package of 17-18 LPA. Even NIT Trichy CSE avg package is 20 LPA only. Moreover, don't compare placements by percentage. It is not the right parameter. Instead use median package. Therefore, join CEG or MIT without any hesitance. Don't listen to this paid career counselor Ashwin. He has a dealing with Amrita and VIT to promote those colleges.

Yes this is the reality of market situation right, even top college don't have great placement it's because of over saturation of engineers in market also covid hit very hard on engineering field especially core branches. So make decisions wisely buddies👍🏼
