Good for you if you feel comfortable and strong with your facial hair. 🙏🏽 Just to say to your comment about ‘Jo bibiyan kardiyan ajj kal’ if you look at historical images of Sikh bibiyan, including modern era (1984) Shaheed Singhs wives, sisters, mothers etc and the Shaheed bibiyan themselves, look at the picture of Shaheed Bibi Upkaar Kaur Ji on the table for example - many did not wear dastaar. They mainly wore chunniyan. Some wore jewellery and makeup, for example, on their wedding day. Femininity is fundamental and powerful. How do these bibiyan expect to live grisht jeevans and birth the next generations? It is ok and normal to be feminine and physically attractive to your husband. Genuine question to the men - how many Singhs want a wife with a beard bigger than theirs? Sikhs can eat meat as long as it is jhatka - this should not even be a question or debate in 2024! For the bibiyan who wear dastaar and dance on reels etc that needs to stop 😣 These conversations have gone on and on for decades…puratan bibiyan had the kamayi from simple (mostly rural) living, organic and seasonal diets, duties of looking after their familles, land, animals etc. Physically they would be worn out whereas we move from office chair to couch within minutes. The reason the bazurg probably asked you the question is because he has not seen this before in his generation.
