I used that elastic on maternity pants back in the 70s! Now I have problems with reactions to some things I eat and I can watch my stomach expand. This would be the perfect way to make my pants fit again! Thanks! I’ve been watching you, Sandra, for a very long time. I’m thinking it was back when my local PBS was the place for sewing info! I bought your Power Sewing books back then but got away from making clothes for too long. I am back!

Some button sewing feet have a little adjustable bar that will give you the neck on a button - and thanks for mentioning the need for a neck on buttons. They are much easier to manage that way, regardless of age !!

Use needle size 7511 HS on elastic, extend the elastic beyond by 4 inches. Thank you for that info.
