Any suggestions on works on the topic or more generally on Jewish wisdom/poetry. Super- interested layperson here: academic is fine,but super-dry, not so much. For Psalms, I like James Mays' Psalms (Interpretation commentary). Also Brueggemann's Message of the Psalms and Longman's How to Read the Psalms are good intros to studying the book.
