Absolutely incredible!!! I am a prophetic octogenarian confronted by the Living God 45 years ago. I am God-smacked on a daily basis, today I have been reminded (again) that I have only travelled few feet along my journey in the company of Jeshua and His disciples, in this case David Pawson. I appreciate that David Pawson states his speculations as such. Such humble honesty is rare and yet makes it so much easier for me to hear the message with an open heart than if he claimed or stated his ideas as forgone conclusions, which only stimulates a mind like mine to question, even doubt more.

May I add this to the message of The Great Man of God, Bro. David Pawson. I am blessed and grateful to to God and thank God for Bro Pawson and his Spirit led messages I have been hearing since 1988, then through tape recorder cassettes and now blessed with his video messages . The recorded message in this video says "Onesimus the run away slave ran away from Philippi to loose himself" The fact of the scripture is that Onesimus the run away slave, ran away from (Not Philippi) but from Colossi, the native place of Philemon.
@graceyow3392 Жыл бұрын
bless you paul for sharing your observation. paul's letter to the colosian ekklessia does contain the note of paul's sending tychicus with onesimus to collosae. thank you for this information that ties it with onesimus' situation with philemon, the subject of paul's letter to philemon. it blesses me every time i read a viewer who have such intimate knowledge of the word of god and cares enough to share it with others. since the bible is all truth, i believe we need to also teach all truth. we are humans and we make mistakes or just not careful enough at times. it helps that others can see these and let us know about our errors.

I really desire to learn how to research the bible. I am not at David’s intellectual ability but where does one begin. There are different takes on things. I have experienced change of point of view from my pastor which has brought great confusion. I find David’s research and teaching to be uncompromising balanced and honouring to the Lord. I am asking for assistance in learning how to discern what’s true and false.
@msanborn37296 жыл бұрын
Reading the bible yourself is the best thing you can do to understand God's word. Just taking info from Pastor's or these videos is not enough. Eventually as you study the bible yourself, the Holy Spirit will help you with your discernment of scripture.

Jay I read the bible like this: I read a verse and look up the meaning of every meaningful word in a dictionary and in strongs. after I read each verse and cipher it I read them all together. You can also as I've done, read history of the Roman empire and of the Hebrew history. Read everything you can on life in Jesus day. mark corrells lecture on "the life of Jesus Christ " is really good but I find that a lot that he says I disagree with such as there being two baptisms ..one of and one in...no not true.

Hi JC, 3 years is a long time but our Lord has insisted that I reply to your post now. First I have to remind you of a part of Paul's first letter to the church at Corinth:- "For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ." This is especially vital now (Nov 2021) as we are, in the opinion of many, very likely to be entering the end times, experiencing global pestilence and global famine as foretold by Jeshua. I think you might find my recently posted video enlightening. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZO2noFugLyDrLs Agapé and shalom. David

3:29 there are reasons to believe luke was not a gentile. paul wrote that the oracles of god were given to his people and that includes everything that is in the bible. luke had intimate knowledge of the temple itself and its services are can be gleaned from his accounts that he could be a levite himself as he pointed out elizabeth and mary were. even the genealogy of jesus he recounted has levites in them. jesus spoke of physicians among his fellowmen. luke was never mentioned as an evangelist or pastor but as a physician. many of god's people took on greek or roman second names. so the letter of paul to the colossians cannot be used as proof that luke was a gentile.

Another great lecture - makes you wonder, if Luke and Acts are two volumes of the same work, Luke should be after John in the Bible rather than before so that Acts directly follows Luke and they can be read together as one..... R.I.P DAVID PAWSON 🕊
@DavidPawsonMinistry Жыл бұрын
Interestingly the reason why Luke its before John is because the Bible is not in chronological order - three gospels of Mt, Mark and Luke are put together because they form the Synoptic Gospels and stand in contrast to Johns Gospel which leads to another question - why does the NT start with Matthew when it is widely accepted Marks Gospel was the first Gospel to be written - timing wise after many of Pauls letters. The first NT book to be written was probably James only some 10 years or so after Christs. death

4:18 perhaps it is better to say luke writes of details as they are needed in his account in and correcting errors or false doctrines like christmas. he is not any more accurate than the other writers. scriptures is the word of god and he is the finest editor in the entire universe. he cannot allow his original writers to be "less accurate." any errors wittingly or unwittingly inserted by others later need to only point out to us that the need to be more intimate with his word ourselves. any error can be corrected by the rest of his word. after establishing the reliability of the bible as the word of god, it is the only source of reliable refutation of errors introduced in it.
@loveinaction27726 жыл бұрын
What proof do you have that Luke was gentile for sure would there not be Jewish people living in Antioch, not sure of that.
@msanborn37296 жыл бұрын
The argument can go both ways as scripture gives us very little to say he was a Jew or Gentile. To error on the side of caution, in my readings he was more than likely a Jew and Ill take scripture over mans idea.
@acts10truth5 жыл бұрын
Luke was gentile a good sign is that Paul made him get circumcised to go to the Jewish group. If he were a Jew he would have been circumcised as a baby

@msanborn37296 жыл бұрын
Actually we very much are. We are the body preparing ourselves to be the bride. Following Jesus is the way to become the bride. Its in the NT scriptures.
@acts10truth5 жыл бұрын
@@msanborn3729 respectfully I've studied this intensely and you are free to believe what you wish. As I have been known to say, it doesn't matter what we think about such things as it won't change Gods' design or make our salvation status different. We are the Body of Christ. We also have his mind. we are him, as we are one with him. we have the command to grow up INTO him not grow up to simulate him. Ephesians 4:15 | But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: also we are the GUEST of the bridegroom not the bride

The Body, becomes the Bride. The Jews, Chosen people are the family of the Bride and Bridegroom
