I am very interested in the "Alcohol Bread" - I have never heard of that in my life. American subs *specifically* prepare all their breads and rolls and doughs on board because it would require way too much room to take bread with them, and it wouldn't last anyway (unless frozen) ... I am quite interested in how that works. The idea of preserving bread in alcohol, using water to then evaporate it in the oven, that's both unique and a little crazy.

I think a better way to go would be to strike a battle group with hypersonic missiles and then use drones to attack and then use submarines to survey the area and finish off what enemy ships are still afloat. I wouldn't want to risk 60 or 120 men against a fresh battle group fleet that is fully functional and at battle stations.

Very good sub.. just wonder if it follows the standard pattern of ALL previous Russian subs. For the 1st 18-22m in the Navy the subs are super quiet but once that period passes they become rather noisy (relatively speaking). So for the 1st 2 years, USA has trouble with tracking these but after that, they become easy to spot. I think that this is due to the very poor maintenance / short life span of the components used ie the tight tolerance of the initial equipment (eg pumps) quickly moves out of the range that generates minimal noise and no one notices/rechecks.

I think that the issue is not how quiet they are out of factory. Its the fact that poor maintenance after 2-3 years of service results in a lot more noise. This is across most russian boats.

Very american style to have torpedo exit the side and sonar up front. Side scan sonar under the connig tower, is slightly behind the times, side scan now looking like a donut horseshoe. The usn still will fear this submarine, especially with the new weapons

In previous videos about submarines they filmed some scenes in training room instead of real submarine one for security purpose. This submarine is the newest in Russian navy, it has many rooms journos would never be alowed to step in. I can easily imagine they would repeat the trick with training room in navy academy or they can film some scenes on the board of older submarine.

Alfa class had minimum monitors, yet was so automatized, that you needed only 5 men in bridge to fully control her. Fancy Displays are not mark of how advanced technology is. Fun fact, Yasen has Elbrus based supercomputer on board. Its computing power is several orders higher, than combined computers on newest Virginia class. Thanks to that, Yasen sonar analysis is fully automatized unlike same task on Virginia, where you still need perfectly trained sonalyst operators. But as said Fedor, sensitive displays was not showed due classification of those systems.

So at the end of the day, it seems 'Combat Approved is a full-blown propaganda channel owned by Zvezda TV which is a Russian state-owned nationwide TV network run by the Russian Ministry of Defence. So, if anyone is going to make exaggerated boastful claims (mixed in with facts) about their arms forces, it would automatically be them.
