Thank you for your videos! They so hit home! My visual vertigo and sensory issues combined with my agoraphobia made going into grocery stores and big box stores excruciating and lead to many panic attacks. We still haven’t been able to pinpoint the cause of my vertigo, but with the help of my service dog, I am able to go to busy public places again. We even managed to handle airports together!

Getting dizzy from phone screen or monitors can be considered as a visual vertigo? If so, vestibular exercises can help maybe?

I experience visual vertigo when driving on the highways. Initially, I thought it was the speed causing it, but after listening to this, I think it's all the visual stimulation. Unfortunately, I've stopped driving on the highways because it's literally torture for me and it accompanies panic attacks.

@@omarchacon4096 vestibular therapy helped some, the therapist said to slowly work up to driving on the highway. Example, get one for 1-2 exits, do this for a while until you feel comfortable staying on longer.

Thank you for this!! Was diagnosed with Visual Vertigo last summer and have struggled to find resources online for it. One thing I struggle with you may have talked about before, I developed a panic attack disorder at the same time as vertigo and the two feed off each other like crazy. Especially with covid, sometimes I get hit with such bad nausea I think I might be actually sick and it's really difficult to tell if it's just vertigo, the anxiety, or if I'm actually ill.. which then triggers the anxiety and makes the vertigo worse lol.

@@antoine5038 Hey I'm sorry it took me a year to respond to this lol, I never check notifications on here. I'm feeling a lot better now! Definitely still get attacks both dizziness & anxiety attacks but it's a lot more manageable than before. I have no idea why it all started around when covid but I had gone to about 6 or 7 doctors before I found anyone that could actually help me, but I eventually was able to get in touch with a dizziness / vestibular physical therapist and that was the main game changer if you're still having issues that would be my biggest recommendation is to do vestibular PT. I spent about a year going through PT and that lessened my symptoms dramatically, now even when I still have attacks I have tools that they taught me that I can use to ground myself when it's happening. I wasn't diagnosed with it because testing is extensive and expensive, but my PT thought I have vestibular migraine disorder. So the rest of my treatment from that point was lifestyle changes. Taking supplements at the right dosage (Vitamin B2, D3, magnesium, and CoQ10), daily exercise (at least 30 min aerobic), and dietary changes ( ofc all my favorite things coffee, alcohol, spicy food, etc. are triggers) oh and also another big one was getting on medication for my anxiety, obviously, consult your doctor on that but I am taking propranolol as a daily general anxiety medication and I was surprised to find out it also really significantly decreased my dizziness. In my experience anxiety & dizziness were like what came first the chicken or the egg you can't treat one without treating the other so meditation, yoga, acupuncture, and other mindfulness practices really helped me. How are you feeling now??

@@nanamandeey703 Hi! I just responded to another person's reply on here that is a bit more detailed so pls check that out for more specifics, but I am doing a lot better. My symptoms are a lot more manageable and don't usually stop me from being functional on the daily. Have you sought help from a vestibular physical therapist? That was the biggest game-changer for me! Check my other reply for more specifics though of things you can do now that might help, but definitely seek out help if you haven't already. I went to so many doctors who told me I just had eustachian tube dysfunction and gave me ear drops and sent me away and it's really scary not knowing what's happening to you or why until finding a PT who validated me for everything I was going through and gave me tools to help.

Great , informative video ! I’m dizzy x 18 years now and visual vertigo is my #1 symptom. I do go to Target bc that’s my love and I won’t give it up ! Lol. But it’s hard to shop. I have vestibular neuronitis , VM, and I wear the micro prism glasses invented by Dr Debbie Feinberg :). So I have misaligned eye issues too. From time to time I go back to vestibular therapy for a “tune up “. I’ll be going back in a few weeks. Any words of advice ? Anything new for patients like me that I can let my VT know about ? Thx :)

Maybe don’t have a split screen for this conversation. For those of us who suffer from this watching both of you on the screen is torture. Maybe it is best that when you speak it is a single screen at a time. We don’t need to see both of you and go back-and-forth left and right on a split screen, which is the exact reason why many of us get these attacks. I am sort of surprised as, Dr that you would not have realized this problem
