R_Kelly_is_a_Hero says at 10:25 that PlayStation has a proven business model (single player games). However, these games are getting ever more expensive to make and their sales ceiling isn't rising. Days Gone was a commercial disappointment in 2019 and that sold around 8 million copies. If 8 million was disappointing for PlayStation in 2019, how much does a AAA SP game need to sell today? How much will they need to sell in 2026 and beyond? 2. R_Kelly_is_a_Hero suggests at 11:18 that Jim Ryan leaving was actually him being pushed out due to his Live Service failure. They baked him cookies with his face on them! When your employers bake you cookies with your face on them and throw you a party, doesn't it actually suggest he just wants to retire and they're leaving on good terms?! Google what I'm talking about! I'm not crazy! 3. At 16:05, the sane member of the podcast, Jason, says that the Live Service initiative is dying. Hiroki Tatoki literally just told shareholders that their mid to long term strategy with regards to Live Service remains unchanged 3 weeks ago! Jason, I'm Rocky and you're Rocky's son in 2006's Rocky Balboa. The world aint all sunshine and rainbows. That's how winning is done! You're better than that! Oh God...imagine watching Karate Kid with you two. Mr. Miyagi is trimming the branches on his bonzai tree and R KELLY IS A HERO thinks "Oh he's killing that baby tree!!" It's called pruning!! You cut the dead and struggling branches so the tree can thrive. PlayStation is cutting their weaker Live Service projects so the overall initiative can rise to even greater heights. Jason, you have hope. I hear it in your voice. R_Kelly_is_a_Hero is likely too far gone. You can't save him. Now I will reluctantly thumbs up your video...

Haha! Great comment. Thank you for listening, of course. I (Jason) do have hope for their live service projects, but it’s clear they’re pivoting behind the scenes to some extent. Even if it’s to green light other projects, while cancelling others, imo.

Jim Ryan, the guy supposedly being pushed out because his Live Service plan failed, just signed a partnership deal with NCSoft 3 weeks ago. NCSoft...that huge Korean company who specialize in making big GAAS GAMES!! Crazy how they're letting Jim Ryan sign those deals for PlayStation when they're pushing him out and pivoting away from GAAS right?! 2. Also, tell him about the new Insomniac leak where one of their slides shows they're working on, not one, not two, but three multiplayer games! Can you do this and then describe his response in detail? I want to know about the tears, the high pitch wailing, and the fecal matter he drops in his pants when he realizes GAAS is indeed the future of PlayStation!! Happy Holidays to you Jason.
