The Eye is a definite purcurser to albums like Stormbläst, Something Wild & In The Nightside Eclipse to name a few... some amazing moments but the only problem with this album is that it's not a classic, & it def should've been, sould've been King Diamond's Don't Break The Oath but just seems, rushed?.. ☹️ ❤️❤️

I don't feel that it was rushed but I do feel, like with a lot of metal bands around this time, that king felt like he maybe needed to change things up especially since Mikkey Dee was gone. Why he chose Snowy Shaw to play on an electronic kit I'll never understand cause Snowy would have sounded great on a real drum kit. The drums alone I think is what really kills the album and it kind of makes it sound really dated. It was just a weird time in metal especially for King Diamond.

We did this a year ago so I don’t even remember what we said about vinyl, but of course it’s selling hot right now but who knows for how much longer. Manufacturing plants are already saying things will be delayed now at least a year which is going to slow sales down again. Plus a lot of bands now knowing this might skip out on releasing vinyl for their new albums. I already know some bands who will have to do that as well as some retailers that are already seeing a slow down on vinyl sales. Hopefully it’s nothing and whatever issues they have will be solved quickly and no one will notice.
