SUMMARY
Surprises and skirmishes abound in this augmented game of The X-Files CCG. Stephen and Guillaume begin the game with each of their selected Agents affixed with Keyword TRAINING buffs, foregoing the mechanic of removing the attached Agents from play for one full turn. Will these added skills significantly impact the game? The resolution of this enthralling matchup is nothing short of stunning-and, not to mention, mathematically improbable! If that’s not enough, Guillaume gets a surprise delivery during the post-game chat, and Stephen shows off one of Dax’s side projects.
Created back in 1996 and distributed by USPC Games, The X-Files Collectible Card Game is a detective-style card game patterned partly from such games as Clue (deductive reasoning) and Guess Who? (process of elimination, ask questions). Individual card effects were derived from the show’s earliest seasons before the game went belly-up in early 1998. But like the elusive Truth, the game’s cult following is still Out There. Find ‘em here on this channel!
