Sure he lives in Scotland because he tried to destroy his own community in north Belfast, he was nothing but a drug dealing child killing bastard. Have a look at who he killed. They were not IRA leaders they were young men standing at shops or going to work. Go ahead check it out .

I'm a Catholic. I'm liking this interview. Tommy, this is the real deal. I remember the IRA bomb in Leicester next to my flat - fortunately, no one was hurt. We all want peace. Best thing ever was seeing McGuinness and Paisley sharing a joke - I never thought in my lifetime I would ever see that. Peace please because people suffer not those other people in power.

@joeloughoughran1352 have you heard about the Orange Order? Get rid of them and we will have a chance of peace as they were created to stop the United Irishmen and any other Protestants rebelling against England! Google it! England started a Holy War in Ireland after the Reformation as the Irish chose Death before changing their Religion and this has been going on for hundreds of years!

He talks about catholics “thinking” they were second class citizens. They literally were. He mentions he was 9 or 10 at the time, however, he should spend some time looking into the structural challenges catholics faces living in northern Irish ‘democracy’. There is no doubt Protestants were also living in bad conditions, all people from working classes were. However; those with power were disproportionately Protestants. Furthermore, when the British army came to facilitate law, order and peace. That was only applied to those on the Protestant side. The British army colluded with unionist paramilitaries against catholic communities. The crazy thing is volunteers on both sides have almost the exact same story for why they became involved. It’s classic British military / government policy. Divide and rule.

Your 100% correct... It's funny to think that it magically happened in 1969.. What a joke..... 800 years of British invasion in Ireland and mass murders and slavery for catholics across the whole island of ireland is why the Ira formed, just like tommy had to form the English defence league because he felt alone and persecuted. Nothing about the genocide in 1847 by the British government of Irish people, told in the history books as a famine... Another great lie as only 1 crop failed because the English landlords had all the good agricultural land grabbed for themselves and they exported the cereal crops and vegetables, beef and bacon by the ship loads to British soldiers fighting in other countries like India NZ or Argentina, more places they should not have been. The Ira formed originally because of the constant British persecution of irish people for many years and he let's out all these massive details. Why didn't he ask how the hell was there British on the island of ireland in the first place? How would an English person feel if a few English counties like Yorkshire and Northumberland were part of northern England but was run from Dublin and the native English were treated like second class citizens.... Your doing some very good journalism tommy and uncovering an awful lot of corruption in the BBC, the political system and the msm. What you experienced in England with the foreigners was what was done for hundreds of years to irish people in there own country.

He forgot to mention of how Catholics were treated in the new northern state pre 69 discriminated against for jobs housing votes, that’s why the civil rights movement came about, was nothing to about a United Ireland, was for basic civil rights. After listening to Jonnys version of how the conflict began. As a senior loyalist player it’s clear why loyalism is in the state it’s is. this is the typical mindset of Unionism. I want heard on tv documentary A senior British army major remarking that “loyalist are drinkers, and Republicans are thinkers.

His downfall was the killing of John Gregg. C Company riddled a car with Gregg in it and he was killed. The top men seen this as a direct hit to the organisation as a whole with Gregg being well liked and the decision was made that Adair and c company had to go within 24 hours. 100+ men from the UDA with automatic weapons descended on the lower shankill and they had to flee to Scotland and Bolton overnight.

Sure it was bucky from what the papers say, the cops could have stopped any attempt to remove them from the shankill if they wanted. He clearly mentioned unfortunately and regretfully innocents on both sides were killed, Any innocent civilian life taken is wrong and sad but this is what happens in war and by killing Catholics it put pressure on the IRA, which it did, Everything Adair is saying here in the context of the troubles and how it was at that time is all fact, he’s just telling it how it is.

Northern Ireland, Belfast in particular at that time was a crazy place where most in working class areas couldn’t live a normal life, Before the troubles Northern Ireland had the lowest crime rate in the UK, The troubles and political situation changed all that, it turned good normal people into joining the paramilitaries to defend their country, most people will tell you that the people of NI are among the most friendliest genuine biggest hearted people in the world, the people they are on about is the good working class people.

Folk in the north of Ireland really think we played football and stuff only? Where ever the English civi war traveled or towns and cities supported each side, there was UDA or PIRA in the towns and cities of England. as far as I remember turned to follow what was happening in the north after the UDA were formed. As a child I lived to a UDA area and it was a no go area for those not living there.

It was the english who invaded Ireland to start with, irish just wanted there country back. ( English spanish french) were renowned for this over the world. The catholics were treated like 2nd class citizens. Civil service jobs were mainly all given to Protestants and voting for the catholics was made as hard as possible for them just to even cast a vote,
