Hello! I'm absolutely loving your podcast. I'm developing my first game and your info answers so many of the questions I had. One question... Once you hire and artist and the work is all done and they have been paid. Who has rights to the artwork going forward. The artist I'm interested in working with has in her contract that she has the rights going forward and there is a licensing fee for every printing of the game. Is this usually the case? Thanks!!!

***** The owner and any royalties for the artist are specified in the contract between the publisher and the artist and they can be anything. However, what usually happens is the publisher pays for each piece as it is completed, up-front, and the publisher is the owner of all of it. There are usually no royalties on art, but I've done them before so it does happen in some cases.
