Growing up in the 1960s I watched this show almost all the way to its final season. I thought Bev Garland and Tina Cole were really good additions to the show and have re-watched episodes I likely missed when I got older in the 1970s for its ending. Thanks for placing on KZbin.

Because CBS is greedy, and has released the currently available seasons in two parts each, which hasn't sat well with afficianados. Also probably due to the music licensing issues. I believe CBS is too cheap to pay the original performers, and is since unable to use some music beds that have become synonomous with the (affected) episodes. No one wants to watch an episode with some non-original music dubbed in.

One of my favorite shows. But I wish they'd show reruns of when Chip met Polly. Boy the 60's, that sure takes me back and I sure miss those times. I remember the King Family very well. My grandfather looked liked that but he died at 66. Men had a crush on her and Women had a crush on him. (Robby).

When I was a kid, one of my Barbie type dolls looked exactly like Tina Cole...same hair and face.The doll's name was Casey, and she was supposed to be a friend of Barbie, along with Midge.I had that one, too.I always watched My Three Sons when new.Tina hasn't aged much on the interview.

Actually, Michelle, Casey was not Barbie's friend, but Francie's. In the mid-sixties, Mattel took advantage of the cultural changes brought about by the British Invasion, and created a new 'in-between' line of dolls. "Francie Fairchild" was introduced in 1966 as Barbie's "mod" cousin; approximately a half-inch smaller in size, she was presumed to be older than Skipper, but younger than Barbie/Midge - around 16 or 17. In 1967, Casey was created as a friend for Francie, and a Twiggy doll (made to resemble the famous model) was also added. For several years, Mattel executives were concerned that they were missing out on the segment of the doll-buying market whose mothers looked with concern/distaste at buying full-breasted, curvaceous-hipped dolls for their daughters to play with. Whether or not this was a factor, there was no mistaking that, in addition to being shorter, the "mod" line dolls did display somewhat less 'shapely' figures than the wasp-waisted, pert-breasted Barbie & Midge. They were introduced with a full line of their own Carnaby Street-influenced designer clothing. I agree: the Casey doll does closely resemble Tina Cole. It wouldn't be surprising if Mattel modeled the Casey head to look like Cole, who had appeared on "My Three Sons" in small unrelated 'girlfriend' roles in 1964, 1965, and 1966, and was familiar to television viewers as part of the King Family Singers. As the first woman to play a permanent part on the very popular "My Three Sons", and as part of the 'Robbie gets married' storyline, she received a huge amount of publicity. She had a look that was popular with a great many young women in the mid-sixties, when Mattel introduced Casey and Francie. While Mattel continued to market the Francie doll for ten years, Casey was not as fortunate. By 1970, she was toast. Indeed, by then, her short blonde bob look more closely resembled that of a California suburban mom than a hip adolescent. In keeping with her namesake's fading popularity, the Twiggy doll, too, was phased out in 1969.

They changed networks again and the living room set was changed to make it appear as if the family moved and had a different house. I thought that it was so strange that the living room set was so small. It was much smaller than the two houses that the family had previously lived in. And now, they had a mother and robbies, wife, and three babies, and the wife’s child living with them!

When Tina Cole appeared on the show, is when I started watching it. I was a teen then and noticed girls. Tina was the girl every guy would have fallen for. During that time, I believe many of us were looking for our own Katie Douglas. She was always as cute as a button and still is.
