@@joemoschetta1541 thanks Joe! Cheryl and Don's son Sean was the drummer in my first hard rock band. They put me up for over a year after a near fatal motorcycle accident. Daughter Ashley is in Nashville perusing a country music career. Daughters Crissy and Dania were still very young back then I barely remember them. They probably don't remember me. Ashley is in Nashville pursuing a country music career. Don passed away some time ago you can find his obituary online. I spoke with Cheryl a couple of years ago and still chat with daughter Alison on Facebook now and then. They are such WORLD CLASS human beings.

Just started watching Carol Burnett reruns, and in an exorcism skit, a branch of the Kings family Christmas tree was used as a symbol of purity. HAD to google the King family tonight. LOVE THEM! I'll add their music to my Holidays from now on. I've been missing out!

I've always prided myself on knowing about famous celebrity singers from the past. During the Christmas Holidays, a station that I get called GetTV has been playing "Christmas with the King Family" from 1967, and they have played it several times, and I've watched it several times. I recognized Tina Cole instantly when I saw her from "My Three Sons", and I could name all the cast of "My Three Sons" because I grew up watching reruns of it, but I had never heard of the King Family even though I was born in the mid 60's. That may be the reason I had never heard of them, and I didn't remember them from anything they did in the 70's, and it's probably because I was so young at the time. As I've watched the show several times this Christmas, all I could think was "What a beautiful and talented family". Their rendition of "The First Noel" toward the end was just beautiful. As it happens, I know a lot of the songs they sing, and I just watched a video of Alyce singing "My Cup Runneth Over with Love", and I've always loved that song, but I just didn't know who they were until this month, but I sure have enjoyed watching them and hearing them. I keep thinking "how could I not have heard of them"? I guess I was just too young back then. Thank you for making my Christmas a little merrier with such warmth and love that's shown in that Christmas special, and I look forward to hearing more songs from the King Family. I would like to know how the King family started in show business, and what their claim to fame was originally. I just don't know much about this beautiful and talented family, God Bless and Merry Christmas.

maybe they werent real.maybe not as pure as they sem to appear o r maybe they were. some families are totally corupt. (mamas family) some just as clean as they seem to be. in either case they tried to teach us how to believ in that possiability that you could at least fake it, peoplegot tired and stopped faking it. that was the problem it just took too much to keep up with the illuisn of being happy
