Great presentation. The KYL is hanging over my head from the last match , missed target 5. Some great pointers there.

Great series, Derek. The PR pros make all the difference as their comments are immediately confirmed with the through the scope video footage.

Do you have a suggestion for what to do on TYL/KYL racks that don't swing side-to-side? At the Punisher Positional, they had a JC Steel TYL rack setup with metal hangers with ball bearings or something, and the plates would only swing straight back; no side-to-side movement at all. The best I could do was look for a lead halo, but that's pretty tough.

The only real opportunity on a stage like that is to study the shiny marks on the large KYL target. Memorize them, then take your shot and analyze the newest shiny mark. The other thing you can do is pay close attention to how hard it swings. If I can't tell by the shine spots, I'll analyze the swing. If it barely goes up I know I've probably clipped the side where as if it swings violently it suggests I had a more centered shot.

How do you set up the side shot so it is straight with cross hairs. Mine always looks crooked.
