Yes indeed. But the owner in this video had a lot of other troubles too. I resent the mirror ... ;)

Wonderful video! Such a great horse who just needed more communication from the owner. Hopefully the owner will increase the verbal praise and communication will increase. Mia is incredible! Awaiting more videos😊

I love this horse and I love what you do Mia!! I so wanted to hear the owner TALK to him but it seemed like she wasn’t at all! I tried to see if her mouth was moving and that I just couldn’t hear her, but it never was. For the life of me I can’t understand why people don’t COMMUNICATE with their animals! They expect them to understand but they won’t even speak! Especially the praise part!! Praise praise praise them!! I hope she watches this and sees that her version of loose reins is not loose at all…

It is also every time good to see that Mia does not hide her natural female belly. Five stars for that and her great patience to educate both horse and owner.

This very nice owner can’t understand what a loose rein is. But it’s always hard to watch a beginner and easy to criticize. So I’m going to stop. . So happy Nia is working with her!

Mia was great with me & Jake. Since she left, we've practiced a lot. I now feel confident enough to not use the reins as a crutch. We ride bareback with the cordeo. I bought her bridle & Jake loves it. Thanks to Mia, we've entered shows and Jake does great! We ride with Mia's bitless bridle in the shows, too. Mia gave me my horse back & I will be forever grateful to her.

@@elainelange6344 thrilled for you.! It’s unfair to make any negative comments when a person is just learning, so I do apologize for that. It’s just that I see so many people learn to think the reins are the only way to control a horse, and that is very difficult to unlearn. Did you ever think you’d be riding bitless? Crazy concept, huh? It sounds like you put a lot of work in to gaining confidence. Was it the tips from Mia or all the practice you did? BTW, Jake is a beautiful, very smart horse.

@@kkdoc7864 Thanks so much for your encouragement. What didn't show in the video was that my husband had just been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer so I was struggling to accept that I would soon be a widow & most likely lose my farm so Mia's stop was a highlight of my year. I can't afford to get injured under the circumstances, so that was a huge factor in my demeanor that day. I practiced every day with the ground exercises Mia taught me. Jake was resistant at first and then he magically just stopped. I didn't ride him until that point. Then I practiced with the cordeo until Mia's bridle came. By that time, we had developed a great relationship. I still practice the walking exercises with him because I feel you can never do too much ground work & because we have just gotten better and better by doing that. I rode with a rope halter in the past because Jake doesn't like bits so riding bitless wasn't new to me. But having Jake so relaxed was new to me. I've also worked on myself since Mia's visit. I have lost quite a bit of weight. Mia's back up exercise has been such a tremendous help in our communication. It has helped me teach Jake show patterns. He actually backs himself up when he realizes he's not doing what I asked! I also learned that Jake needs things in very small steps to learn calmly. Mia's visit taught me how to communicate & taught Jake how to be a herd member. I agree, Jake is a great horse!
