Good afternoon Gary and Mon. Our builder didn't consider anything other than pilings, 6 metres deep to solid ground. Our place was a rice paddy that has been filed with about 1.5 metres of dirt and settled for 2 years (where the house is being built). I'm sure you foundations will turn out fine with driven pilings. In hindsight I should have asked the question as when we dug our very large pond it filled up with water , anyway no damage done just little delay Paul cheers Gary and Mon
