Hello! I am following you from ParadiseNThailand. Interesting concept, I studied octagonal shapes but I ended up with dome version, inspired from Guastavino, built with solid red brick from BPK factory. I am romanian, married with a Thai lady, living in USA, but very, very soon will move in my wife’s hometown ChiangKhan, Loei province where we intend to rest our bones forever. All best and good luck with Thai builders!

Looks interesting, think you should consider raising from 1.5 to at least 1.8 better too 2.1 so you can walk underneath without bending over, you know you will end up using part of it as storage and even could park the car under. Another suggestion is draw up what you want in sizing of you're stairs, they notoriously are terrible at the rising and as well as a safe depth, noticed on the drawing the draftsman didnt offer any sizing, good luck.

Hi I don't intend to us crawl space for storage with regards to steps they will bee just under 3 meters wide and 8 off them I will keep my eye on the sizing , thanks for your suggestion and comment cheers Gary and Mon 50/50

Really like your design, looks great. The roof overhang should help keeping a reasonable inside temperature on hot days ! Is similar to many house designs particularly in the country here in Oz, with a surrounding verandah etc. Any access for a visitor in a wheel chair or broken leg (or you in your twilight years) etc, a ramp ? Great stuff thanks for sharing. Cheers, John

Hi John Yes you are correct forgot to mention that the overhang will reduce sunlight getting to main building With regards to access wheel chair etc as yet not put access from rear covered space to garden as I mentioned I would like a plunge pool also plan on some hard landscaping once house finished I will incorporate into that plan thanks for your comment Gary and Mon 50/50
