Stunning rifles. I used to own an XL1 quite a few years ago. It was amazing quality, it reminded me very much of a "proper" gun with the looks and beautiful bolt action. Fitted with a silencer it was barely audible, very accurate and very very long.

A mate had a Ripley AR5 years ago and it looked a quality rifle. Webley longbow: Lyn Lewington ARC best possible tune up and upgraded trigger, ISP blueing, Nick Simmons shrouded ventilated barrel and Warren Edwards red white blue laminate stock(union flag /hot air colours) or best walnut.

I found it quite amusing when I started getting into air rifles a couple of months ago, I was googling shops and ranges and what not in my local area. Turns out I'm about 100 yards from Ripley rifles :D Bit out of my price range at the moment though. Maybe one day.

Thanks for giving us a look at some Ripleys, they do have a reputation for being well built and meticulously finished rifles. I'd never heard of that pump action design, you learn something new every day. As for the Webley, because custom work is a matter of individual taste and personal preference, perhaps the prize could be the original Longbow and the winner gets to choose some custom options eg full internal tune (yes/no), extra stock checkering (yes/no), and/or perhaps a CS thumbhole stock? (yes/no).

Thank you for the comment :) yea there’s a lot of people within the Airgun world that don’t know a lot, if any, about the Predator, and I’m glad we could highlight just how special this rifle is :) Great suggestion with regards the Webley, certainly food for thought with regards that specific project :)

Hi guys. In my young ages I`v got a Haenel Mod. 303 from 60`-70` called " Kinder Knicker" means brake barrel for kids .But this had a mount of power. You know...a champain bottle is very strong, not for this airgun. 30 yds , penetration!!! I sold it to my onkle and I missing it so much!!!

Back in the day my dad borrowed a predator pump action which was a 0.25, silver and was doing about 50 foot pound, and until seeing this there isn’t much information about them, but I remember it same as certain air gun guy called AJ who did work for ripley and others who used to tune pcp’s for anyone.

I would like to see the barrel shortened and a diamond cut silencer and the fore end of the stock inlaid with silver banding to help with grip and balance not just checkered same with the inlay in silver wire... The butt plate has to be adjustable the scope and mount must follow the inlay on the compression tube...

If you do a custom stock, gotta remember some of us are lefties. Great show you're doing very well 👍
@hotair426911 ай бұрын
Thank you :) The stock would be the last thing to be done, I’m a leftie so understand the need for a well fitting stock :)

Hmm custom stock tyrolene please, top quality reblue, a venom slimtech, a low mounted 6x40 quality scope together with a buttoned piston?

@hotair4269 I will be watching with interest as I have a Longbow and Stingray sitting in my collection that have not been tuned. You could go full vintage and try and find an Optima super moonlighter.. but would need a higher cheek piece, I guess.
@hotair426911 ай бұрын
@@h2489-m2l the great John Darling super moon lighter famous / infamous for being able to hold a pint glass in the front lenses when stood upright :) last one I had sold for a lot of pennies I like the older tyrolean style but with the time this will take over several episodes think it best that we get the work carried out then hopefully the winner will like what we have done :)

@hotair4269 I've always wanted one, but at the current nostalgia prices it's hard to justify

How many shots per charge for 30ft/lbs .22 xl9
@hotair42699 ай бұрын
Hi Ricky, I would say between 50 & 70 but obvs each rifle is slightly different depending on condition of seals etc. but that’s a typical FAC air rifle at 30ft lb. My friend has an FX .22 FAC at 30ft lb and that’s getting about 55 shots per fill

what happened to 2 why is it private?
@hotair426911 ай бұрын
This is in fact number 2. The first attempted upload last night had a corrupt section of the file and so wasn’t great, that’s why we made it private until it was ok to post in full. Apologies for any confusion and hope you enjoy episode 2 - Ripley Rifles
