Great build! I will try these techniques on my Revell B-17. Thank you for your efforts.

34 mins, is that an airline drink cup?
@BearstowsBarnstormers Жыл бұрын
no, quite a bit smaller. More like a cup you get condiments in from a restaurant.

The exterior panels are lapped. Raised panels on the Revell kit are more correct.

They are! Minus the panel lines that are missing and the rivet lines. I'm starting to get the impression it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't ordeal. The recessed lines on the HKM will look better in the end but aren't correct. The raised lines on the Revell are raised to both sides so also not correct but won't trap the washes and be visually interesting.

It is such a pain to trap washes on raised lines. I still haven’t found a method that really works.

*Takes notes on future videos*. The only thing I've found is laying the wash against the panel line then dragging a Q tip perpendicular to it with a little bit of thinner. Let the Q tip get dirty with wash and some will stay there.

Thanks for sharing. Getting ideas for my build. Looking at creating 3d extras.

I'm glad I can be of some inspiration. If you're building the Revell kit I am making my parts available at this link for free: grabcad.com/library/1-48-scale-revell-b-17f-parts-1

@@BearstowsBarnstormers thank you sharing the files, I will certainly use them in my builds. I have your kit and the monogram clear version as well.
