Omg hi! I'm Dolly's Crochet Shop and this was such a surprise! I made the free pattern really fast without any testers. I'm currently working on this pattern again with other characters and it'll be able to be used with the hello kitty as well. I tend to do this for a lot of my patterns. Most of them tend to be interchangable and if you're willing to try it again, it would be awesome. Thank you for your review :)

Yeah I would be happy to try the pattern again when it comes out 🫶

So I had to make the little clown pattern and now I have 3!!! :) I did change it a bit by adding the ruffle to the legs/arms as I go with a BLO round first, and then I attach the legs closer to the front of the body rather than on the sides. It's a great little pattern and I'm excited to see how they perform at my next market.

I like your idea with the ruffles!! That was definitely my favorite pattern out of this bunch.

I’m so surprised that clown pattern is free! With Halloween just around the corner I’m going to have to try this out! Also the pumpkin pie turtle is really cute!

Right? It's such an amazing pattern that looks like it would normally sell for $10+

Hi!! I made the pumpkin pie turtle pattern! I’m fairly new at pattern making so I really appreciate your feedback! You explain everything so well, you should definitely make a how to write patterns video!❤

Thanks! You're the second person to suggest this to me! I definitely will plan on making one in the future, thanks for the suggestion! 🫶

I think the eye on your bee looks great! Very cute 🐝 but I get what you're saying.

Cute patterns, you do good recreating them, much appreciated. Have you ever considered in starting your own “how to” on pattern designs and their written instructions? Your analysis on pattern critiques is always spot on. I’ve picked a few free patterns and discarded them simply bc of the written information. Good video

Thanks! I actually use these videos to provide tips on better pattern writing. That's a good idea though, I could probably dedicate an entire video to pattern writing tips!

Hey Kassy! Use wire cutters and needle nose pliers to cut and pull the back of those eyes off. Hope this helps. Patterns look great today!

Thanks for the tip! I actually ended up selling it as is at my last market!

the frog pumpkin pattern is probs made with acrylic in the pics so you can see stitches better

That might be it!

Such a great review! 😊 I always look forward to your videos. The clown is my favorite and the one I would like to try. 🤡 You could also add a black slanted scar a few stitches above the eye to make that side seem balanced. (I add the face scar to my bees.) 🐝

That's a good idea! I'll try that in the future 🫶

Could you do a compilation of the highest scored free patterns over all 20 episodes?
@pieces_of_scrapАй бұрын
I definitely could! Thanks for the suggestion!! 🫶

Great video as always! Thank you! Do you find yarn over or yarn under makes a difference for you? I’ve noticed if I YO/YO, my projects come out a great deal larger, but much softer (vs YU/YO). I always include my technique in pattern notes when testing & find it helpful when it’s mentioned in the pattern. I’m always curious about the differences! I guess over 30yrs of working in a research heavy environment has created a monster! 😅 lol Hugs!!! ☺️🫶🏻🧶🧡 xx 🧙🏻

Honestly I haven't ever noticed a difference but at the same time I've never tried to make a direct comparison before 🤔

Right?! Me neither! Now we are both curious!!! Sowry! Lol xx🧡

I love the turtle. My grandson wants a turtle in camaflauge green shell and olive green body. How much?

I don't have those colors available right now, but I would be happy to make a custom turtle for you. Please email me at pieces.of.scrap.crochet@gmail.com

What were the colors you used on the turtle, please?
@pieces_of_scrapАй бұрын
The turtle was made using Bernat Blanket! Tweed in the color Woodland and Mist in the color Canyon.
