Grunge definitely played a big part in the decline of hair metal, but Dre also made a great point. Just take 1 band Ratt for instance, and think about what they were writing in the early 80’s “Lay it down” “Your In Love” Round And Round” these songs were bangers for that style. What were they writing in the late 80’s…”Way Cool Jr”??? Just total garbage
