Its hard to 'scale down' in life. I just wanted to say thank you, I've been watching your stuff since I was in college for biological sciences. I can't even convey how much I've learned from you and I am very grateful.

Hey viper keeper. 10 years ago I stumbled upon an eastern brown in my backyard that was immediately cornered and became defensive. I backed away shaken and was my first real encounter. Soon after I started researching the animal online. This led me to your channel and I became a regular visitor. All these years later I still watch and have owned some carpet pythons along the way. I’m too old and inexperienced to get into venomous, but love them. Just wanted to thank you for being the reason I grew to love snakes and for the knowledge you provide. Best wishes to you both from Australia.

I’ve been watching for a few years now and love your videos and your husbandry. Take whatever time you need and post when you get around to it, I’ll be here and I’m hoping for a speedy recovery for Lori.

I'd totally forgotten about Thumper! Nice to see him again. I watch your channel for the science and to just plain old enjoy all your lovely snakes (and Mr. Blue-tongued skink). Thanks, Al, Laurie!

Loved the video as always. I TOTALLY AGREE with you. We can both sit at the table and agree to disagree on certain topics BUT at the end of the day we need to respect each others views and feelings. Glad y’all are doing better. Much love and support to both of you. Stay safe💙

As you move toward retirement I hope you and Mrs Viperkeeper will come from time to time to say hi and let us know how you are doing and maybe share some of your knowledge about snakes. This channel has been very good for those of us who only see snakes in the wild( with the exception of the 2 or 3 that have managed to find a way into our home from the outside.)

As always great content. I am procrastinating on getting out of snake keeping too. I keep almost 50 Ball Python Morphs. Had to euthanize a longtime #2 or #3 acquisition Leopard Morph. It had a tumor that had grown over one eye. I used dry ice vapor in a sealed container. He just went to sleep, was a sad day, Buster was his name. I agree with you on the case of NY murdering a poor guys rescue animals. We are about to fundamentally Make America Great Again! Who knows we may even get the filament light bulbs ban lifted.

Glad to see you again Al, couldn't agree with you more regarding the "Peanut and Fred" topics. It was wrong. Hope things work out for you at your place of work (current or otherwise). Best wishes to Laurie as well. Looking forward to more content, even as you downsize!

oh i have an idea for what to do with the NY DEC officers so bad at animal handling they got bit by domesticated animals! put them to work with something that would actually BE dangerous! milking no mistake snakes for example!

Certain parts of the government is the same way with us firearm owners to. No different than y’all owning the snakes us owning guns. In a materialistic way I mean I’m not saying anything bad about snakes or guns you understand what I’m saying but the government is doing us gun owners the same way.

Why do you feed your rats partially frozen? And not fully warm?
