Episode 215. EWR and Space Surveillance. Alarm for the nuclear shield.

In this episode of Combat Approved we’ll have a tour around the most longsighted objects of the country: the radars, capable of seeing into thousands of kilometers and even watching what happens in space and over the horizon. Only two countries in the world have these systems, the Early Warning Radars and Space Surveillance. You can’t have a security from a massive nuclear attack without these. Huge radars, the antennae of which are comparable to the size of a football field, are equally distributed across the country and protect Russia from attacks from any direction. In this episode, Aleksey Egorov, the filmmaker, will show all those sites and tell how they monitor the sites of potential launch in the US territory. He’ll explain how long does it take our antennae to detect enemy ballistic missiles and will introduce you to the methods of Space Surveillance.
