I have family in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León as well! I remember school breaks were spent down there every time as a kid. Summer was amazing, but I agree..the last few years it is just not somewhere you feel comfortable going. I was super excited to hear your momma has her roots down there too! 😊

Okay so me and my husband have been married for 15 years and as I have said before I was a stay at home mom for 10 years.all I have to say is OF COURSE a working dad has different needs then a mom who spends the majority of her time with the kids. the key is to be there for each other and understand the different needs and do what you can. Yall are excellent. Way to communicate and do your best.

Steve sorry you feel like that about Mexico 😕😔 I understand about your concerns with the cartels but trust me Mexico is a great place to vacation and plenty safe. You need to not go to resorts go experience what we call real Mexico authentic. Resorts are so not the heart of Mexico. Also remember your pretty safe in Texas and the cartels are there for sure. Wow, we got married in Mexico 🇲🇽 too. And like you Steve, my husband paid for everything! I feel like we have many similarities. Although my husband is not a comedian, he works nights and I work days. So we hardly see each other. We will finally have our first date night since like 2018! I'm in that unique situation too,my husband is a truck driver so he always wants to be home and be with the kids, and I'm dying to get out of the house and get a break from the kids. Its a rough situation for sure

You have to get over the mommy guilt. Your marriage is the most important thing, even over your children. Have a date night at least once a month. During vacations, have things you do as a family then things only you two do. This teaches your children what a healthy relationship looks like.

Anyway, for the Mother's Day gift, it is your job as the father to teach the kids to show gratitude for the things mom does throughout the years, by helping the kids make or buy gifts that are age appropriate for them to give. And because she is the mother of your family and as an example for the kids you should do something special for her too (it doesn't have to cost $1,000).

She does try her best to made him look bad and selfish. This man loves his family. Yes as mom we do eat cold meals I cooked early so my kids could b4 me. Then have them set down with a small amount of food so I could enjoy my hot meal with my family. I love enjoying my kids and yes there were days I would feel like screaming "Callaghan take me away" as ea child hang on to me making it difficult to walk. Then I realize they love and need me as much as I do. Yes being a parent is difficult. It's the way she makes him look selfish that I do not feel she is fair.
