Don't get me wrong, the pattern is still adorable! I just got confused in one place. Could just be me!

Belly’s patterns are top tier!! I love them so so much!!! The chain after the bobble stitch helps them puff out more. And for the leaf I would’ve read it as intended, but if you’re confused you could always try to reach out to the creator for clarification

Janina is German (she has a channel here on KZbin), but she speaks English pretty well. Maybe the spelling error is just a technical glitch. Anyway, the onion pattern is cute, and I want to try that one. I always enjoy your free pattern round-ups. Thank you for sharing.

Cassie, I love the editing with yarn type and color, it's a great addition without being distracting to you and the plushie. Janina is the creator of the chubby onion pattern, and she is from Germany. I watch her channel as well. She really creates some beautiful patterns. I think english being her second language is why the spelling error occurred in her pattern. On a separate note, I am trying to understand your ratings system. You obviously rate for marketability as you sell at markets. Then you are rating if a beginner can make it. Beginners shouldn't be selling at markets, in my opinion. I have been to markets with multiple crochet booths across from each other. One had perfectly made plushies, and you could tell she had years of knowledge by how she interacted with the public at her booth. The other booth had some of the same patterns, they were not good. Uneven tension caused gaps and polyfil protruding from the plushies. Her pricing was very high also. I think it was based on her time. Being an obvious beginner she took much longer, her Mabel chickens were 45 dollars! Versus 15 dollars from the other vendor. To me marketability and beginner friendly are opposite scales. To me if the pattern does not state beginner friendly then it isn't and it seems unfair to assume all patterns should be for beginner. Just like your pattern for the sock monkey is awesome, and you have the option for just the pattern. Some of us have been crocheting for decades and all the extras are annoying. Ii don't mean that in a judgemental way, it is just an observation. Just as in purchased patterns if it say intermediate or advanced you can lower a rating because a beginner can understand it. Just my thoughts thoughts. The rest of the bullet points you rate on are pefect. Much love and gratitude for bringing us all of the cute patterns you make or find.❤

Thanks for all the great feedback! As for the rating system, these ratings are meant to be helpful for anyone who crochets. So I mention "market-prep-ability" being important, but it's also meant to be synonymous with value for time invested, so maybe I should adjust how I word that bit of my criteria in future videos. Thanks for watching!!

I really like this video. (Lets be real i like them all) but this one i liked that you used several different yarns. For several reason mainly it gives us a chance to see other yarns especially with Joann possibly leaving us, we will need other options. And it gives us a good chance to see the pattern in question worked in different ways. Good job on this. Mabye include some puppy time and some egg collecting videos. I can’t wait to see what you come up with next

Thanks so much for watching! For these videos in particular I try to leave out any puppy or egg collecting footage, but in my week of crochet/market prep videos I always try my best to include footage of Rhea & Kolt, but I didn't realize people wanted to see my chickens!!! I can definitely include them in my next week of crochet video. Thanks for watching and all your input 🫶

Great review today. I really enjoyed the content and seeing the different patterns in various sizes. It really helps me get a better idea of what possible sizes I might consider for upcoming markets. All of these are super cute. I mainly do Fall markets, so I am working on planning out what I want to add to my inventory. I have not done much fruits and veggies but now considering having a section devoted to them. The corn is super cute with the removable husk. I am going to try it out this weekend. I have the others on my to do list. Thank you for this review. :)

Lots of people say they're enjoying seeing the patterns in different sizes! I'm glad y'all like the change 😊 I've seen some people have booths dedicated to food plushies and they have takeout boxes or parchment paper for wrapping the products when they're sold, which is really cute! Good luck at your markets!

Okay, the leaf patterns for the lemon are perfectly clear with the use of punctuation, though. If you're chaining 4 on the small, you use 3 of those chains with 1 sc, 1 sc, and 1 hdc because you start in the 2nd ch from the hook. If you're chaining 5 on the large, you would use 4 chains with 1 sc, 1 sc, 1 hdc, and 1 dc because, again, you start in the 2nd ch from the hook. I'm not sure why either of those were confusing to you. However, the way you reworded the instructions on the side of the screen to clarify actually just made it confusing to me. So I guess it just comes down to how each of our brains process the information.
@pieces_of_scrap7 күн бұрын
I suppose it just comes down to how people understand instructions 🤷♀️ It was definitely confusing to me that it doesn't explicitly state to continue working in the chains.

I love your videos! I do have a question how do you feel about the buryeah yarn? Quality vs price?
@pieces_of_scrap9 күн бұрын
I received it as a gift, so I don't have an opinion on the price, but the quality isn't the best. Lots of dye issues with the white & cream colored skeins.

The Gummy Bear Pattern. If you read the pattern it is not a traditional bobble stitch. You have to follow the directions exactly as she wrote them and when you do you get exactly 9 stitches. A normal bobble stitch has you YO insert the hook into the ST, YO pull through, YO and pull through 2 loops. The pattern doesn't tell you to YO and pull through 2 loops. It says YO insert hook into the ST, YO pull through and repeat. Cassie, I wasn't sure if this is what you were saying or if you mean YO and Pull through 1 loop when we normally pull through 2 and repeat. The teacher in me couldn't help but try and see what was wrong with it.
@pieces_of_scrap7 күн бұрын
Yes, I understood that it wasn't a traditional bobble stitch, I was just saying that "pull through" is too vague for me to understand that you're only supposed to pull through 1 loop there. I was able to figure it out after a lot of trial and error, trying to get the right amount of loops on my hook by the end of the stitch. However, I think that if it is confusing to one person, it is likely a handful of other people might get confused as well, and so I thought it was important to mention.

I didn’t watch the rest of this video so I can’t speak to any of the other content, I just came here to support my friend and say the thing you didn’t: the Lemon Belly pattern is Belly’s FIRST EVER free pattern. Chains after bobbles can be common to help them pop out more, so to rant about how it made no sense to you for 5 minutes was kind of wild. But just for anyone else here reading, Belly has since changed the bobble format and has come a long way since this particular pattern. Summing it up by saying “it’s REALLY confusing” is kind of not fair since that’s subjective. I would implore you to try another more recent pattern of hers and review that 🩵
@pieces_of_scrap5 күн бұрын
I appreciate you pointing out that this was Belly's first free pattern. I wasn't aware of that, so I must've missed it! It is still a really cute pattern, and it is possible that I may be in a very small minority that may find that area of the pattern confusing. I hope that my review didn't scare you away from watching the rest of the video in the future, if you ever feel inclined to finish watching. Best wishes to you and Belly!
