It is fun to see your progress. Don’t ever feel bad sharing ‘too’ much. I’m sitting here stitching while I watch you. Thank you. And, yes, I don’t let my travel stop the progress on my stitching. We leave tomorrow for Kauai with family. Really looking forward to feeling the warmth of the sun. We live in Oregon and we are going into another cold spell, so it will be nice to miss that. My carry-on is packed with projects. My daughter and grandkids are gracious to allow me time to stitch. My husband encourages it because it brings me such joy! Congratulations on your finish. Beautiful stitching as always, Dena! I admire your tenacity to complete all your challenges (Prompts). I really love your "A Child Is Born." I get inspired by seeing a 'real' stitch not just the photo on the pattern. I am doing WIPGO (3 boards) this year and in February the pulls include my oldest WIP which I started in 1987. It is "Gathering Honey" from the Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazine from May/June of that year. I hope to see you at the library in February.

I cracked up when you said she took her ball and ran upstairs to the ottoman. At the end of the year I actually missed making a new start project card where I record the fabric, start date, etc. Today I realized I hadn't made a card for my New Year, New Start, and when I tried to look up the fabric to mention on my channel, it wasn't there! I had to go back and look at my video to hear the name of the fabric again. LOL. Dena

Cindy, you are so right about Cocoa wanting my undivided attention right now. No stitching while talking to her. Both hands required to pet and love on her. My hubby didn't do background extra work during 2020 and very little in 2021. He started picking up some in 2021, but he has hit the ground running in 2023. He has already been working about 5 days in January and is booked for two more days on a different movie in February. Now he can do a rapid test on the day of the fitting instead of a test, wait a day and drive back to Atlanta for wardrobe. Then another test, wait a day and back to film. It wasn't worth all the travel time like that. But now he rapid tests and does the wardrobe fitting, then starts filming a couple of days later. If needed, a rapid test when he arrives for the filming, but no extra days of driving down for a COVID test and driving back home before each fitting and filming dates. I think I've developed my stitching plans for February. Plan on filming this plans today. Happy Stitching! Dena

Thank you for your stitching stats information. I always find it interesting how much stitching you get in. I changed my stitching goals this year from hours to number of stitches so I'm looking forward to seeing how many I end 2023 with (as long as I keep tracking it). When my son comes to visit, Abert goes crazy and want to play with him. Winter makes it hard for them to get in some good play time, but they try to lover on one another as much as possible. Isn't it wonderful how our fur babies love our human children? I know JT lived with us when Cocoa joined the family so he is one of her pack that she is thrilled to see come home. Did you son live with you when you got Albert as well? Good luck on your record keeping for the number of stitches. Since I mark off my working copy, I count my stitches as I mark and then keep a little note book on my desk to jot down the numbers. I total them up as I go so at the end of my stitching time on that project for the day, I have the total number of stitches. It is a habit for me now. Dena

This Mary Englebright looks like you as a young girl!😊 I have trouble stitching on navy blue fabric any time of day. I love when my grown sons come to visit also. I love your word plays! I want to stitch August and November wordplays because those are mine and my sweet husband’s birthday months. I think I will try to insert our names in our respective wordplay. Hi Dena. Another wonderful video. I’m the woman who was inspired by ur son’s surgery. I giggled when I saw u mentioned it in Another video. Just thought I’d give u an update. I went to c dr but he won’t allow me to get into the program bc I can’t exercise at all due to some knee and back issues so he has me in a pre-program status. I am disappointed but have learned that nothing worth-while comes easy so it is what it is. In the meantime I went to c his exercise person (whom I’m pretty sure is evil 😉) and I have an upcoming appointment with the nutritionist. I’ve been working on losing weight and am starting to move better. I love watching ur progress on the full coverage Christmas ornaments. They have been in my stash for a very long time and my lns had them stitched up. However I am still not ready to tackle any of them. Every time I c u working on urs I’m inspired though. Take care

Hi Dena. I just finished Halloween at Hawk Run Hollow! I'm pretty monogamous in my stitching but I promised my friends I'd branch out this year. So I started Death by Cross Stitch by Long Dog and will be adding in Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow and The Queen Mermaid by Mirabilia. I think that should fulfill my 2023 plans 😆 JT looks amazing! I simply adore the Autumn Bell pull. I have wanted to stitch that piece for a long time. Everytime you show it I want to order it from Stoney Creek. Please pass on a HUGE congrats to your son. That is no easy task losing all the weight and keeping it off. Not to mention his dedication to his health and exercise. He deserves that medal!

PS I’m not sure if others have told you this but I just love your hair and all the different ways you style it! Amazing! You can get so many unique looks! And all of them are so pretty! I especially love it when it’s sort of straight and sleek with the sides pulled forward against your cheek bones. It reminds me of Lyza Manelli (sp?) in her younger years. Just beautiful!

Lee, just make sure your family knows to search for your wish list under your email name. That is how my list is identified (my email) so the family can go to 123 Stitch and click on the find a wishlist and enter your email. Then they see it. Dena
