I always love your beautifully made sweaters. They are varied and so fun!! Congratulations to the winner of your woolens and nosh yarn, scrumptious colorway! I’m so sorry about your sweater in the dryer 😢! Can you reblock it and get some ease. Enjoy your family time, it’s so nice having the warmer weather!

Mari, your Love Letter Top has inspired me to really think about casting one on this summer. You've got me casting on in my head while I'm working on wips. You're new project bag is the cutest! I really need one!! Hope to hear more about how much you like it while knitting on the go. Happy crafting!

What a treat to see another episode from you Mari...short or long, Thank you! LOVE the Primrose by Marie Wallin. Am trying to talk myself into making one of her faire isle sweaters too. Have fun with all your boys being home. I forgot that Colorado has an earlier Summer vacation then here in Atlantic Canada. 🥰🇨🇦Sharon.

Oh my gosh! So much to say about this episode. First, Primrose - YAY!!! I can't put it down, it's so addictive. I'm so excited that you cast it on. I LOVE the love note, the lace work is gorgeous Mari! And your sock bag is perfect. Such a great comment about getting it out of your head. It's so true, so many things I want to make swirling around in my head all the time. 😂. Thanks for all the inspiration, can't wait to twin with you in Rhinebeck!

I enjoyed your podcast Mari. I often repeat yarns in my projects, I am familiar with the gauge and how the yarn works out. I love your colour combo in your Nexus jacket. A little less contrast than designer version

I absolutely love your Carabiner Bag! And I volunteer to be the first to buy it!! I am a knitter while walking and have been known to walk through the crowded Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto while knitting on socks from a wrist bag. That right there is right up my alley!! I hope you do decide to sell them.

I went to the Texel retreat so got to try on the Nexxus cardigan in person. It is absolutely stunning! I’m going to be starting it soon in the same colours that Natasja used. I see wearing it with white jeans in the summer. I think that first piece goes sideways across the back (from middle out to shoulder). I hope you keep going with it!

i hope you realize your talent and the inspiration you create. I want to make everything you are working on! love the small bag you made. Can you share how you design or if that was a design? My sewing skills are beginner level but want to work on getting more comfortable with it and that small project looks like a great way to build skills. Thank you for all you share!

Thank you so much! I self drafted that little bag but a great pattern that has multiple drawstring sizes is from Kandou Patterns www.etsy.com/shop/Kandoupatterns. Sewing is very fun, enjoy ❤️

So many things, Mari! No, that's not a criticism (I've seen other podcasters cast on waaay more projects, which does stress me out), but today you've discussed so many things that I am interested in. The Daily Pullover has been in my queue for ages, and the fit seems to be spot-on for everyone, so after seeing yours it's going to the top of my queue for fall knits. The Garden Cardigan and Love Letter have also caught my eye, but I'm still on the fence. The Nexxus is so interesting, but I don't think I would ever wear it, although your blue and white sample is giving me serious second-thoughts. And that Marie Wallin waistband now makes me want to do a raglan sweater with long, striped cuffs in those exact colors - beautiful! Ack! now my brain is mulling over too many ideas at once. Besitos, @lamanchaknitter

Love your projects. I'm very close to wanting to do The Nexus by Natasha Hornsby. I would take the class from The Knitting Place. I have not worked strictly from charts. I don't think It would be hard to learn. Since you’ve done them, is it a mistake to go to that pattern? I've been knitting since 2016. My husband was in the Force Academy for college in Colorado, and his son, my stepson, and my wife live in Colorado. I'm a new subscriber. Thanks so much, Trudy.

Oh fun! So lots of Colorado connections. I love knitting from charts. Like anything, it’s something to get used to but once you do I think you will enjoy it. I like that I can see the entire pattern design showing up in the chart vs written out directions. I’m happy to help if needed
@TrudySchwartzBurrill4 ай бұрын
@@ColoradoKnitter Thank you so much. I think chart reading is a skill I will enjoy very much because I am more of a visual learner, and as you note, visualizing the patterns is helpful. I see you started making the Nexus Jacket. It is looking so good. I've got some shelter I can use. I’ll do the same as you and will pull from my stash. I need to use my stash whenever I can. If I make that jacket, I’ll make it longer, also with longer sleeves similar in length to the light gray and muted colorways one; I believe she was a tester. I also love the Garden Cardigan and other projects that have passed or are almost over. I’m not sure since I’ve not taken their classes before. Do you have an opinion on whether that matters? I imagine all the chitter chatter is still available to research, and others may be willing to assist if need be. We have a such a great knitting community. I'm so happy your video came by my feed, I'm Trudy, it's nice to make your acquaintance.

Hi Trudy, I have wanted to try a class from the knitting place but haven’t done so yet. I do not have facebook so I never created an account to take a class. I think the classes would be great fun even if they are old classes, but I can not speak from experience ❤️

Everything's looking fantastic! I was intrigued by Nexxus too, because it's so unique. Working on the Garden cardigan with you. Enjoy having the whole crew around!
