Something I discovered yesterday - I'm directly descended from Elizabeth and Richard Woodville's son, Anthony Woodville - who this episode is about! I'm American, by the way. Sending all my love and support from New Jersey, USA.

Thanks so much for this very informative video about a man who has seemed to be a most admirable person from the little I knew of him. His great interest in books and in Christine de Pisan, among other traits, really makes him a person I would like to have known. Drawing on the Tudor Takeaway, I wish that I could go back in time and change Anthony’s fate!

Thank you. I just thought of something. It may sound silly but she’s always called Elizabeth Woodville, wouldn’t she have been Elizabeth Grey because she married - was it John - Grey? Or have I got that wrong. Silly as I said but I just thought of it . Thank you 🙏🙏👵🇦🇺

You're right. Funnily enough, most queens are referred to by their maiden/house names or their place of birth, i.e., Anne Boleyn (Tudor), Jane Grey (Dudley), Eleanor of Aquitaine, Catherine of Aragon, Elizabeth of York. At least it lends some measure of agency independent of their husbands and keeps importance of their birth identity.

And no, it doesn't sound silly, lol. You brought up a valid point of interest!

Great point. However, Elizabeth married 3 times. Her third and final husband was Richard Woodville, the Earl Rivers. I'm directly descended from Elizabeth and Richard Woodville's son, Anthony Woodville - who this episode is about! I'm American, by the way.

@charlieputhstan that was Elizabeth's mother, Jacquetta of Luxembourg, who married Earl Rivers. Anthony was her son and brother to Queen Elizabeth Woodville. Both women were married only twice.
