Thanks for encouraging me to knit more! The snow was amazing. I was at work when it started, but left about 30 minutes early to get home before it got bad. As it was, I saw several people wipe out. My grandsons came over to go sledding but were inadequately dressed. Luckily, I had wool socks and mittens at the ready. Maybe next year to have your 'mystery skeins' be a surprise, choose 20 skeins out of your stash and let your kiddos wrap and mark them! You may have some idea, but never know for sure until you open them. Braces - there are so many different schools of thought. Two of my kids had them and only one of them kept up with it. The youngest decided he didn't want braces, but now his dentist is encouraging it. At least it's not on my dime. I had them as a kid, but not I may need a spacer because I lost a tooth and the other teeth are moving forward. At 62 - I don't think so.

PS Yes to the DK Sock Train, changed my Freckled Whimsy Christmassy Yarn Club to DK to include year round gift knitting. Decided to attempt 4 Sundays of Advent gift socks for my son and his 3 kiddos (not all in DK) so I’m on board the train 🚂 for sure! I think I can, I think I can!

Good morning Michigan. OMG!!! Best part of this podcast. The first finished object sock. The heels and toes with that pinkish color way. Perfect choice Lisa. Had to back up the podcast to see it twice. You did very well on that one lady. Yes. And for that you should by more more yarn. And have your husband buy more of what he like to create as well. Congrats on the jury duty. I think they should put your name down for a recall like several years later or how ever they keep track. Braces are good Lisa. Your kiddos will thank you later on when their grown adults. And look good too. Yes. Buy more yarn. You can call it a buffer for the extra purchase. Knit all the yarn. Yes we will. Love your socks especially the freckled whimsy Christmas yarn❤I’m thinking about signing up for her Christmas club but really need to knit up the monthly clubs yarn I signed up last year first. Just finished me a pair of socks finally after knitting so many gift socks for Christmas. On closing the hole after the heel flap and gusset you might try watching Tips & Tricks for Sock by Roxanne Richardson. It really helped me. Have a great week!

Glad you were able to dodge the bullet! I am sure lots of folks love to do it, so there are plenty! I was able to get out of it because my ex at the time was a cop! I had some issues too with Netflix! I was watching "Call the Midwife" and had to go back to it! That show has so many women going through labor, and it is so loud I have to turn my volume down. People around here are gonna think I am dying! I could do without the labor pain sounds, and yes I do remember them well!

I found after the pickup stitches, I knit the pick up sts through the back loop and k2tog the last two sts knit across the instep ssk ktbl. Hope this helps.

@@knitalltheyarnpodcast5512 I don’t like the short choker pattern I’m making mine more like a cowl, I don’t like that they won’t give the full pattern,it’s a buy pattern but there’s a short video on how to get started,then they leave you bewildered when to decrease,I’m sure I’ll be ripping it out ☹️😡🧶🧶

Don't tell them no for jury duty, they will find you a ride and or put you on grand jury which is aweful
