The higher rate of social ills in minority communities is not systemic racism - it’s systemic problems that are endemic in racial cultures in America. The specific problems are clear and yes, it starts with fatherless homes. Fix that and much of the other problems diminish.

i noticed i started waking up without an alarm clock right around the time i stopped eating carbs. i used to require almost 10 hours of sleep before cutting carbs and it took me forever to wake up when i had to wake up early. now i wake up without an an alarm clock, and usually earlier than i need to.

I suspect that what happened that with very powerful men to board the pilots deferred to what the VIPs told them to do rather than use their own judgment. I think it is fair to say that chopper pilots are more willing to take chances than fix wing pilots. Some years ago, then Senator Heinz told the pilot of his shopper to fly UNDER a fixed wing aircraft to check out the landing gear. The the aircraft "touched" and everyone on both was killed.

Well, perhaps a truly "color blind" individual might not be a racist but that type of color blindness would take a lot of self control. The book, No Time for Sergeants, described two USAF kids trying to pretend that a particular officer wasn't a "N word." In the movie, the officer was made a woman and the privates pretended that they couldn't tell the difference between male and female officers. We now have a Justice on the SCOTUS than claims she can't define the difference between a man and a women. So she (I presume) isn't sexist but she likely is racist.

Troy is most definitely not better than it used to be. In fact, it has been known as troilet for most of my life ( I'm nearby in Amsterdam - not much better) and in recent years Troy has become much worse. Lots of shootings, robberies, drugs etc..

Like fixed wing aircraft, helicopters are capable of flying under instrument conditions if certain requirements are met. The basic IFR instruments are sufficient in theory but when it is a helicopter, pilots need much more sophisticated avionics on board o accomplish a successful instrument flight.

NOT SETTING THE ALARM.😂 Are some of the most valuable discoveries made by happenstance? Most of human existence progressed without clocks. To reframe the question of why God created the sabbath. Were clocks made for humans or humans made for clocks? Does the body possess greater intelligence than our ordinary awareness? What if sleeping until you awaken, only when your body reaches max restfulness... Raises the probability of more peak positive emotional experiences during the day, but lowers your overall production/contribution to society at large? Perhaps being sleep deprived over years lowers the production of oxytocin? Can being well rested extend longevity and significantly improve outcomes when disease is present?
