Highly recommend people either play the STALKER series or watch some essays on the story of those games. They actually involve the Noosphere as a reason for a specific McGuffin and "villain" being created. Especially think Jesse would love the environmental and tangential links to Chernobyl and the disaster, Mathis would love the implication of Aliens, and Alex would love how it mixes real themes and theories with insane supernatural stuff.
