Hi both, great episode so spooky though, your shawl a very good friend gifted to me, in blue and green. Also, the Isager yarn the two you purchased, I too made a shawl. Excellent to work with. X

Thanks for sharing about your experience with the Isager yarn. I am glad you enjoyed knitting with it. Hope you like your Color Affection. I love mine: :)

Hi Tash and Bec, I too greatly enjoyed the Bendigo Wool show this year. The blue woollen fibre that Bec bought from Bendigo Woollen Mills is righty called sliver, not silver. It is a kind of roving or carded wool mostly used for spinning. I'll be interested to see what Bec makes from it, it's such a beautiful colour. Looking forward to Part 2 to see what you both bought.
@mostlyknitting Жыл бұрын
Hi Kristine Thanks so much for the correction on Sliver: due to the colour, I wrongly assumed a typo. Of course I don’t spin, so I’m awfully ignorant in this area. I’m looking forward to seeing what Bec makes as well. :)

Oh wow love the haul so far. I had to laugh listening to your packing adventure. My friend and I had the same thing happen Saturday. Told to park ANYWHERE but our was called over the announcement along with many others to move😂. Can’t wait to see part 2. Felt like lots had sold out before Saturday and there would be little left for sunday customers. Oh well if I didn’t see it I can’t buy it😉

Hope you had a good time at the show. What did you buy? Hope you found some lovely treasures. :)

Well that was fun. Loved the colours in Becs jumper. Sounds like it was so much fun. Omg the colours of your sunspun shopping ….. drooling here. I’ve used the Antigone linen and it’s so good, got that exact colour and a few others 😬 never thought of holding with mohair - sounds interesting. Can’t wait for part b 💪🏻💕

Thanks Karen. I’m off to look at what you made with Antigone. I’m bound to get distracted by whatever you made and have a new plan. I love your FOs. Your makes are inspiring. X

@@mostlyknitting Thanks Tash, I really like this yarn, there’s something about linen that floats my boat. Love linen pants too, I need to make more. I had quite a few pairs I made a long time ago but but they are so low waisted and my new tops aren’t long enough and while I think I’m 22 no one needs to see my midriff 😒 so I need to get sewing. Must make a new pattern block so I can just sew without stuffing around adjusting the fit as the last few pairs I made I used a pattern I bought as I lost my old block and stuffed around so much it was painful. So I’m going to muslin (toile) which I never do 😣 and make the perfect stress free pattern. May the mood arrive soon 🤭😂 happy knitting!!

Hi Tash, thanks for another great episode. As ever your Fo from the vault is so gorgeous, you have a never ending supply of incredibly knits!!! Great to see Bec again, too. You guys bounce off each other so well... How gorgeous is Sunspun!! I looked out for you at the show. Looking forward to seeing part B...I feel like someone took my dinner away before I was finished 🤣.

Ha! Sorry you had to wait another day for the rest of the meal. ;) I loved sunspun. Such a beautiful shop and lovely staff. I’m sorry we didn’t get to meet at the show. Hopefully some time soon. :)

Thanks for bringing Bec back on the podcast. I’m a little jealous as I can never convince any of the knitters I know to come along to yarn festivals. Can you believe someone would say “I don’t need any yarn”!!
@mostlyknitting Жыл бұрын
I can’t believe that Hilda. That makes no sense to me. I hope you can make it to a festival one day. :)

Another great episode. I love your podcast. Please don't ever stop!!! I spent two days at the Sheep and Wool show and was looking out for you both but sadly our paths didn't cross.. I was hoping to give you a congrats on such an informative and enjoyable 'watch' each week. Im wondering if you intend to go next year ......a lot of participants at the Rhinebeck sheep and wool show in New York knit a designated item each year and meet up at the show for a short time to share and admire each others creation. This sounds like such fun. Similar to your KAL this year but we meet up at the show !!?!! Your podcast would be a great launch for doing this. Just a thought ....it was a longish drive home ....!!!
