Hi Richard, having done what you are doing but on a 1973, the original factory finish was only paint under the wheel arches. I found that it had been battered by stones and road crap and rather than paint it again I did put black under seal in the wheel arches, more durable and it was quieter too. I wouldn’t use the same stuff under the vehicle though, maybe a waxoyl or dinatrol in transparent, actually slightly brown! That calliper is a bummer I hate having to do jobs twice! Probably a torn seal. Inside is tops I love the old radio. I notice you have the chassis A gear knob, rare and unobtainable, don’t be tempted to put on a later one .
