My wife bought this 13th colony small batch 120 proof, walked into liquor store and asked for a good bourbon for her husband…. They told her ( we live in Cheshire CT ) that their NY store sells it for $250, but would sell it for $130 to her…🤦🏻‍♂️

I want to say you guys are Awesome for many reasons 1) confirmed for me she paid to much 2) love your opinions on this bourbon 3) I actually for sure got punched in the face Lol 4) definitely found added a a couple drops of water for sure made yummier…

If nothing stands out about a whiskey then it isn't an 8.9... If nothing stands out then it's average which is a 5... I just got an e-mail this morning from my store with the option to buy this and for $90 ($100 w/ tax) I decided to pass. Your review and a few others drove that decision. My basement has over 300 bottle of whiskey, most of which cost $90 or less, and no shelf space left. No room for another bottle that doesn't stand out - and these things take up too much shelf space with the squat design. Their Rye whiskey is great. If they do a release of the rye at cask strength I think that would be pretty great.

Yeah, haha, can't say our number scale is exactly linear these days. That's why we're trying to incorporate the letter rating as well. And totally agreed with their cask strength ryes. Just picked up a hazmat single barrel rye and it is delish.
