I own this car. 98% of it is made in India. It is superb in traffic and city conditions but on highways on high speeds, the steering wheel becomes naughty and it does not feel planted. I drive it under 80 kph on highways to be in control, though I've seen somebody drive it at 163 kph. Again, it gives you that SUV like feeling while driving it. But if you are a highway driver, then don't go for it.

Hai I have purchased kwid 800 cc varient superb stylish and economic car for middle class employees thanks to rhino company for making this modern rhino kwid car to suit Indian all type roads spcially rural side street roads.

@Rajesh Nagure: Did you really buy the car? It does have the looks of a baby Rhino but it is "Renault", pronounced "Reno" in French.

A small question...the heating pipes which are near the foot side air vent( left side) are always hot to touch..they are exposed with out any thermal insulation over it. I wonder they always heat the cabin of kwid and reduce cooling efficiency of the AC unit. What is your observation? i doubt either a design flow or defect with my car (RXT 1.0 2016)

this car is much better as compared to alto or eon.... because this have more space than those... performance level is also better

That should be re-badged Dacia Sandero Stepway... but somehow they manage to made it way worst...

You were wrong. They haven't failed by any means. Hahahaha. Selling 700 to 1000 units a month. 😂😂 The new one is even more bang for buck, not to mention the most frugal car on SA roads, and yes ironically one of the structurally most dangerous and unsafe in an accident. At least now they come with ABS EBD and 2 airbags. Had to laugh when you judged the car for its cornering ability. Clearly a budget urban commuter, so focus on that rather than driving dynamics.

The kwid is the biggest piece of crap that renault has ever made , I know first hand . my wife has one . with just a little over 1300 kms on the clock it is broken . been in for repairs twice now and she still does not have the car . Its super bad quality . I definitely do not recommend anybody to buy this vehicle because i personally think its a death trap on wheels . Also we are receving no service from the retailer, repair service centre and renault south africa . They just dont Care .
