I remember growing up in the 80s and Altrincham were a good team back then. Always top of the non league table. Shame there was no promotion into the football league back then. I always remember Crewe and Rochdale struggling every season too with respect Rochdale from 1977 to 1987 were always in the bottom 4 apart from maybe 1 season. No relegation in those days so they was very lucky. You have to respect the fans for turning up to support Rochdale even in those bad times. Respect!!.
