Insane how an injury can alter potential. Mr. Silas was before my time. I came to be a spurs fan in97 (and I’m 38 now)And I always wondered WHO Silas was (every time I’d see his jersey) and now I know. So thank you for this. James Silas #13 and Johnny Moore #00 are the only two retired jerseys I need if only I was born earlier but my childhood was great because from 98-2018 we always started the season like we were gonna party like we did in 1999 Go SPURS Go 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆

I think he was more of the Andrew Toney/Joe Dumars/Hersey Hawkins type. Smallish for a two-guard, physical, reliable mid-range jumper. Not a guy with great handles.

He was a point guard not a two guard!!! Handled the ball on every Spurs possession. He played defense, too !! Unlike Kyrie. No drama, either, just play!
